I’ve just dropped Poison for Nina/Kazuya. It seems like a match made in heaven. St. mp seems like a decent anti-air.
st. MP xx axe kick (tag in kazuya) st. HP EWGF, st. HP EWGF, EWGF = 431 of an anti air.
I just picked her up like 5 minutes ago. I’m sure there’s tons of good stuff.
Oh yeah, for her DLC. At least that’s what the leaked shoryuken post said last month. If she doesn’t have it I’d be a little upset. Her Rolento army outfit is cool, but I want school girl Nina to match my dominating Lili. Classic relationship. lol
Was looking for a good anchor and started messing around with Nina in training mode. Easy 450dmg for 1bar off an A2A CH is sexy.
Going to try her out with Guile on point as battery. She is a beast with meter, and Guile’s long boost combo range gets her up close pretty easily so she wont have to work her way in.
Is she working well at point? I was just going to inquire about if she’s a better point or anchor…
I’m contemplating Raven, Julia and Akuma for teammates with her.
He’s probably doing something like this:
A2A CH hp/hk, cr.hp xx EX Skullsplitter, backhand slap sequence.
A very very slightly more damaging combo would be:
A2A CH hp/hk, cr.hp xx EX Skullsplitter, mp Skullsplitter, cr.hp xx blonde bomb(light)>>>> this combo is more damaging and takes up less time.
Not always you’ll be able to hit the cr.hp after a CH, so cr.mk is more reliable but less damaging.
I am either going to run Nina/King or Hwaorang/King. Do you think that Nina/King can work? They have tremendous offensive synergy, but I feel unsafe playing two characters who have trouble waking up.
Update: I want to pair Nina & Bryan. I do like the idea of Nina/Rolento, though I was thinking about pairing Rolento with another character.
Nina/Juri sounds awesome.
So, I ask you folks, what do you think of Nina/Bryan or Nina/Raven?
Personally, I was very lukewarm to Bryan when I first picked him up. And other than being given a proper cross-up in the patch, and having some slightly better normals, he’s nothing spectacular. A very ‘meh’ character, I feel.
Raven wouldn’t be too bad. He also has good footsies and he can help with zoning for sure. He may not have a jump-back projectile, but he can still throw from the air, teleport is still in-tact, and crank out good damage. Tagging Nina in from Raven is a bit tricky though. Best, and only, way I know is to land his c. HP. Or get lucky enough to land his overhead and even then, you gotta be pretty quick to react with a tag.
I’d recommend Hwoarang, Ken, Dudley, or possibly Lars if you wanna put the time in to learn the Tekken equivalent of Adon.
Hwoarang will always have his Hunting Hawk to set up a safe tag or a great set up for a tag-in combo. His Sky Rocket isn’t safe on block anymore, so you can’t tag in off of that. Ken is, well, Ken. Good normals, can keep up with Nina in footises, has a fireball, cross-up tatsu. What more could you want? Dudley’s just fun; Brick-shithouse-smashing damage, rush-down and mix-ups. And getting a tag off of MSB is incredibly easy with a basic Jab Jab Strong. He could burn off the meter Nina builds for some serious hurt, if needed. And Lars… I just starting not hating this guy to be honest. He’s a fairly difficult character to use, but packs some nice normals, has good walkspeeds, and sports some damaging set-ups. You can chain off his overhead special, too. Which is always nice.
That’s funny. I experimented with Hwo and Nina in vanilla. I liked how they worked together. Lars I am reserving for another team. I’ve liked him since vanilla and after finally playing Tekken 6, I understand his playstyle much better.
I was just trying to use myold Tekken Tag team of Nina/Bryan. I liked their evil traits. I am thinking NIna/Cammy for the assassin aspect.
Jen/Nina would be a good and annoying combo. The Blonde thing going there. Thanks for the advice. I follow the same motto as in your current signature.
