I’ve discovered that he’s not a bad matchup against Big. Marco, on the other hand… Karate can’t touch Marco. I’ve really got to go heavy on those parries to stand a chance, and Hou So Koukens. Man, if people played this in my area, I could get good enough to write up my own primer.
Dencore: lower tiers just mean it’s harder to win with that character. Don’t give up on the lowbies!
I was very excited about Karate when the game first came out due to how he wasnt just another shoto…I still play him and I will in casuals but I wont in tournaments…doesnt mean he isnt effective because he IS.
I think people underrate Mudman too much just because he’s a gimmick character.
Sure he’s only got 2 gimmicks but they’re GREAT gimmicks. Sure Big destroys him for free, but I wouldn’t put him in D-tier. Some of his gimmicks actually work against high-ranked characters.
Ala Tung…Hes got an excellent Gimmick as well…Dive Kick is another one two excellent gimmicks that make Tung a force anytime hes played correctly. So Tung is C, and I think Mudman needs to go there also.
Edited the tier list, have Mudman as C. Mudman can flat out shut down a lot of characters…so can Tung…

A smart BIG shuts him down, ie. run in whenever he jumps then spin when he attacks, or either get under him and then spin. He HAS to use a super to get out of the corner versus BIG. BIG can also punish far D with torpedo on whiff or also block I believe.
Play more man. You’ll see fact if you don’t believe.

Don’t listen to Joey. They are the two best characters, but they don’t break the game. That’s pretty crazy really if you simply look at the fact that all characters build meter automatically and everyone has invincible rolls. Fighting them requires extreme patience, but it can be done.
Nas: Haoh is too good man. People are still sleeping on Terry though.

one more thing is ff b series (or D series) any good? i think they work well with combos like jD,c. C, then ff D series… also can they tech after that shit… cuse if not… then a free power wave at the end… seems pretty good damage… but don’t know if it’s practical or not… and seems like the dashes are safe… but i might be wrong…( cuse i haven’t really played humans yet…) i will be playing some humas soon so… i get to check out what works/ doesn’t work…

mago would more than likelly take the whole triad out by himself if he was warmed up, seriously, sorry lukus but you know this just as well as i, MAGO WAS FUCKING WAYYY RUSTY WHEN YOU GOT YOUR MONEY MATCH IN, and when i played him??? it just got worse, by the end of the last round + some after that, it was like fighting a robot… i felt totally helpless… dont get me wrong ill still play no matter what ^.^ still a fun game, just fighting those two are totally rediculous.
Yuki has a hard time against Mr. Karate:sad: Tough times with the Tiger of Kyokugen Ryu. I suck at charging which gives me a tough time with Robert and Venom.
