About DF2, the HNK tournament begun at 22:00 instead of 19:00, lots of delay, surprises (Hige/Pochi & White/Motosumi out at first match, DK/Kurenai almost fell too, Mr.5 team lost first match too etc …)
We didn’t stay long since we had a train to pick up but we also lost at first match. I managed to beat Msin but Harumachi just killed me instantly. Too bad.

A couple friends of mine had some time and hosted a casual on 12-6-07. We managed to record various sets via VCR and here’s the playlist:
We haven’t played in five and a half months and smoked a lot before these sets got recorded so expect a few hits-and-misses. Pretty good stuff here.
Yeah I just want to ask, has anyone heard anything on a HNK sequel? HNK needs a sequel… 
why would they do a sequel when they are already making a game with “HNK2” gameplay only with different characters?
it’s always more fun to play as characters i know such as kenshiro and rei and not characters i never even heard of such as motochika, but if the game will have all the stuff that made the hnk game fun minus the fan service, than i’ll be happy to play it.
i started watching HNK anime only cuz of that game. i could always do the same with SB games.
And uhh…what game would that be, exactly (that they’re already making)?
Sengoku Basara X is essentially HnK 2, except it’s so washed down you can’t tell it’s HnK anymore…

HNK needs a direct sequel though. I hope they’ll eventually do one. One thing it needs is more than 10 characters. And they could definitely tweak the system from the first game. Make sure the glitches/“basketball” combos and whatnot are not present, etc.
maybe they can go backwards again, and instead of SBX2 they will make HNK2 which will be played like a HNK3

Doubtful, unfortunately.
Last I heard, Sega still holds some manner of rights to HnK. So in order to make a new game, Arc Systems would have to go back to their “old employer” for the go-ahead. Fat chance of that, especially since ASW has only just begun enjoying their new “freedom” to do whatever they want, without Sega/Sammy lording over them.
Besides, with the likes of BASARA X on the 2D fighter front, and Ishiwatari’s new Guilty Gear projects, they got enough to keep them busy, and the better amount of their fans happy, plus stand to get more.
So in the end, it’s not so much a thing that they “need” HnK.
…Though, I would just as quickly stand up and take notice, if ASW was commissioned to do a fighting game based on Souten no Ken (Fist of the Blue Sky). The manga is bad-ass, and it has a lot of cool characters that would make for a good fighting roster. And it’s not even “finished” yet…
