Maybe it’s just me cause I suck, but it seems if a move say kenshiro’s close D can cancel directly into the blowback attack(CD) you cannot cancel said move directly into Instant kill.
Luckily being awesome like I am(haha) I figured well if it works for combing into CD then maybe I can make it work for combing into instant kill, and it does. So basically if normally your attack couldn’t cancel into instant kill because the cancel into CD takes priority, you just need to do, CD, qcf+cd, I just do the motion twice and that seems to do the trick.
Again maybe this is unnecessary it’s a regular cancel that I just don’t seem to be able to do, but this has worked for me with all moves that can cancel directly into CD but I was having trouble canceling them into instant kill.
I noticed the same thing. The way I deal with it, though, is to do it like a link or at least a very late cancel. So with Kenshiro, if I’m juggling with D, I do the motion for the FKO slower than if I was trying to combo, say a 236+C after the D. Same thing with Rei. Sometimes, during a wall bounce combo, I take my opponent’s last star with a CD then boost into juggling with A then C then a slow 236+CD.

I like this game, it seems balanced, character selection wise. for some odd reason i fell in love with Shin right off the bat, the guy is awsome, i love all the way i can combo into his C+D and set them up for about 50% damage in the corner, cool stuff.
Fuck yeah, Shin is da man! However I’ve been having a hard time lately with his 3star FKO combo, I can’t get the timing down, but I am still practicing it.
The combo I am talking about is this one:
63214A > 2C+E > 214C > E > C+D > E > C > 236C+D
This is supposed to work on everyone, anywhere, but I am having a hard time landing it on toki, supposdly I should add a 2A before the final C then do the FKO.
I am just having a hard after the C+D > E > C part D:

Anyways, we were discussing the Shin 7star FKO combo from the Fan DVD on irc… and we came up with this.
63214A > 2C > 214C > E > 5A > E > 2C > 5D > AC > 623B > land (opponent dizzied) > 63214A > C(far 2 hits) > CD > 6 > 2C > AC > 214C > E > B > 2C > FKO
This was done on Shin, anyone have a confirmation for this? We are testing it right now, hopefully we can come up with something stable as far as this combo is concerned, would be awesome to be able to pull this out with Shin more often.

For that Shin 7 star combo, I wonder that will walk on everyone. It’s like some character faint faster than others.
Hmm… it seems it fails at fainting, maybe I was off somewhere… I still think it fainted in the video cuz of a few hits before the combo started.
Maybe I really need to drop a few 236As before the combo. I gotta test this further.
Try 7 star FKO on Yuda or mamiya. I heard they faint faster.

Well maybe Kenshiro just tells everyone that his pressure points are reversed like he found out in the manga / anime and he becomes easy for anyone to defeat.
My copy should come in a week from now. I’m a HUGE fan of the Hokuto No Ken manga / anime and I’ve never played this game, really can’t wait. “YOU WA SHOCK!” :nunchuck:
