His name IS Souther, i have no idea why the game makers felt the need to spell it “Thouther”.

Yeah after 3 minutes or so of that, i HAD to turn it off! :sweat:

I’m surprised i made it past that horrendous 2 minute girlie intro.

It is pretty close to the anime. Like the way souther has no stance and in his blocking animation, he does not “block” but instead sorta absorbs the attacks. His stamina is also pretty low, like Akuma in capcom fighters.

The reason for all this is because in the anime, Souther’s fighting style was: Nanto Ho’ohken. A style that is all about pure attack power, with almost no priority on the defensive.

The game developers really did their homework with this one, just about everything that happens can be traced back to the anime.

As for Kenshiro, he is not God tier. As far as i know most characters are evenly matched, although i’ve only seriously put time into using Kenshiro and Rei so far.

For any fighting game fan who just happens to also like the FOTS anime, this is a Must-have.

I use a Hard drive with HDAdvanced to play it, which works great and eliminates loadtimes. You can also use a Flip-top mod with swapmagic. Either one is good but i personally prefer the Hard Drive method.

That is incorrect, only one romanization may be correct. Sadly we got no idea which one it is, since they can’t even spell the character’s name correctly consistently. The most used romanization is Souther however, used in Konami Punchmania Game and in most merchandise.

But you have to realize we’re arguing about third parties’ spelling, and as far as I know, Hara didn’t include his romanization in his data books so all of this is pretty pointless.

(Oh, and why isn’t anyone whining because Yuda is spelled Juda? :looney: )

Aight, so I got it. Loving it. Realizing that there is SERIOUS skill involved and not just whoring cheap moves. Excellent game all-around. BUT, can someone please tell me how to defeat Raoh at the end of the game? I play on Mania mode so idk if that makes a difference - but after he goes into Super Saiyan Gill 3rd Strike Life Ressurection Mode of Death…it’s a wrap for me. Any ideas? Sorry if I missed this in an earlier post. ^^
