The New Yu-Gi-Oh Thread: Construct Joins Stratos in the Halfway House

Well either way it was nice to see a REAL Top 16 go down in the US again.

And screw you man. Rank 4 cancer is at its height right now in the OCG and that’s with Instant at 1. Between Noden, Clownblade and Infinity it’s just ridiculous. If anything Nekroz is probably holding that crap back from swarming the meta too hard.

YGO comedy

Anyone going to Nats? Ill be out there even though I dun have an invite yet.

Probably not for me. I’m too poor and I have no invite myself.

So has anyone seen the infernity djinn lock deck? It seems like its just a giant glass cannon but it looks fun.

I’ve played against 1 got lucky the first game with skill drain AND emptiness and 2nd game I barely made it out. Grapha saved me on 2 big occassions

Looking at the Effect of Odd Eyes, that card is going to be mighty powerful. Is there a specific deck it runs in, or is it a splashable card?

It will be a card in a certain deck in the near future which will highlight how truly powerful it is. Before then it only saw fringe use in Qliphorts to search out Scout. Konami did a solid job in making it so it isn’t easily abused by making it so most of the Pendulum Scales that it searches can’t summon him so he’s just a slow searcher.

HOWEVER, within the next year Odd-Eyes is getting a whole bunch of ridiculously insane support.

Well, looking at Odd Eyes, I may go ahead and pick it up. So for an Odd Eyes deck that can actually compete, what would be the base to build around? Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon, Odd Eyes, Odd Eyes Pendulumn and I would guess Astromancy and Chronomancy?

If you’re willing to wait, the Mega-tins this year have Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon.

As Rock said, it’s going to be the promo in the next tin and the support won’t be all out by then so just wait on picking them up unless you REALLY want Ghost/Ultis.

And it’s hard to say the base because…well, most of the support isn’t out over here yet. The good news is that Odd-Eyes is getting his own Structure where a good amount of it is coming out from (no, I’m not talking about the Saber Force Starter). And by a good amount of it, I mean (reprints not fucked with excluding) damn near all of it.

The only things I’d keep a look out for are a couple of tech choices that will come out in Clash of Rebellions. Other than that, wait for the structure and wait for the set after Clash of Rebellions.

It’s official, Konami is doing everything in their power to make every iconic card and archetype from the old days playable.

Next on the list? Black Luster Soldier and Gaia the Fierce Knight.

Magician of Black Chaos patiently waits his turn.

@ZeonTheUnborn Good news…within a single week of the Structure coming out Odd-Eyes is already topping in Japan. The support even got PERFORMAPALS to top. …PERFORMAPALS (and it wasn’t just Odd-Eyes Magicians with some Pals splashed in, it was a legit Pal deck in a decently sized field).

I will say if you want to pick up stuff for later, there is ONE card you can look into. Mist Valley Apex Avian

Im hype to see clownblade and magicians here.

Ladies and Gentlemen, after a grueling two days of Nationals, where Nekroz took 35 of the Top 64 spots, the Finals match came down to…

A Burning Abyss Mirror.

Top 4 was actually 2 BA, 1 Nekroz, 1 Ritual Beast

Just gonna post that. Dope top 16 imo

It was a Top 16 that didn’t make me rage at the screen like Columbus so I was fine.

Anyway I hope they all got their Ritual Beast decks ready. Short of random hits, that’s gonna be the Worlds deck right there.

God that Quiphorts dude man…

Yeah, that failure in Columbus is one of the biggest tourney fails I’ve seen anywhere. And I see people play against Justin Wong all the time and get Wong Factored.

Only for his opponent to win the WHOLE thing
