heh. In light of recent news Josh might be busy…and I ain’t mad at him
OMG I just listened to Korean GG OST. I think my ear jizzed a little. Why do they get a completely new OST than the original? WTF?!
Kotaku already reported on this lol. Typical.
You KOF guys should love SFxTk, the game is so off-putting to people, people are quiting to learn KOF. I wish there was like some game that made people hate some other game so much that they wanted to play my game.
I don’t get all the SFxTk hate but, then again I didn’t get why people hated SFIV so much when it came out either and kept playing it. Now AE is a godlike game somehow.
CvS3 just needs to come out to unite us all.
People hate SFXT more than Marvel but were trolled by Marvel so much when it came out that they have to blame SFXT I suppose.
To each his own, the main issue people complain about with AE is “boredom” supposedly. To me it’s boring getting hit with air combos in other games but everyone has their own definition I suppose. SFXT plays fine, it’s a fun game, I don’t see the problem. People just can’t separate “fun” from “serious” game, I mean didn’t EVO make this a team game this year or something I heard? That should tell you from day 1 said it was a fun game, that was it. I like playing it when I have time but I don’t see the hate with it.
It feels clunky and is not really something I want to learn when I’m still learning and having a blast with KoF, possibly Skullgirls, possibly that Persona game, and still trying to get better in AE.
I see what Dream is talking about with FG saturation…
Where were you after our last SF tourney when I made this exact point? Lol. It made me “jolly as a roger” as the kids say.
Now AE being “godlike” is highly disputable…I STILL maintain that they should have let console Super breathe a little while longer. Aside from some glaring items that needed addressing, that game was damn near a masterpiece (IN MY OPINION).
I know Capcom would love my ass for saying this but I would pay 10 bucks if they let you choose what version character you wanted to play as (like choosing vanilla sagat, super Bison, arcade yun, etc). I think it would be interesting and everyone would be happy to an extent with their characters.
I’m down homey. Lars is gonna do stuff.
Also, that Terry combo and variants are delicious. Gonna mess around with it at Fight Night tomorrow. Also, Andrew Firestarter - looking forward to learning some Skratch tomorrow.
Edit: Woot - I recall S-kill saying that early in the development cycle of AE (minus the charging part of course). I was stoked, then nothing came of it. I would actually LOVE that. Do it like Hyper Fighting. I think it would be hella interesting as well.
Only problem with that is say you pick a vanilla character and there’s no vanilla counterpart for almost half the cast. The ultra damage alone would lop-side that shit real quick.
It definitely wouldn’t be perfect but some would argue Arcade Yun was way more broken than vanilla Sagat ever was even with the damage nerfs. Not to mention all the things they added to the game (Different ultras). Vanilla characters would only have one Ultra and some of their Ultra II’s actually made a much bigger difference in some matchups than the damage.
GGs to Jas in UT3.
Tsk tsk…Jose let me tell you something. I was on the Unreal Tournament before you was even born. Which means…
FIND YOU SOMEBODY ELSE TO PLAY WITH LIL BOY CUZ I AIN’T THE ONE!
Lol but seriously, I’m godlike in that game. You couldn’t have known.
Mike you can’t beat me in quake. I don’t care which one. Quake 1, Quake 2, Quake 3, Quake 4, Quake 4 1.04, Quake 3 version 2012B.
And I’ll MM anyone in Need for speed underground (the original). If you thought the skyline was the best, you’re about to get fucked up.
I still got videos floating around of my records:

Seen this movie, it pretty good.
Lol, I’m sure I can’t. But I bet YOU can’t beat Kodee in Quake.
Dont let me get start with Counter Strike. 8)
Ya, this fighting game saturation is NOT a good thing because you end up having too many people play too many things and no one knows how to concentrate on one game and going from multiple games in tourney creates confusion unless you know how to subdue that with weird tricks…
Some games you end up using the same characters over and over again…like Zangief…going from ST Gief to A3 Gief to CVS Gief to SF4 Gief to SFXT Gief you’re bound to forget something in the translation…
The only way I nurtured myself to change any issues going from one game to the next (dealing with pressing C to throw as opposed to LK/LP, doing moves meant for another game, etc) was to either A, use a different character COMPLETELY in the game series (3s I use Elena, Necro, Q, and Alex and Oro, nothing to get confused about with proper SF games) or B, use a different JOYSTICK or PAD to separate it even further.
I prefer perfect 360 sticks on A3 (when it was played) and 3s
I prefer American Ultimate Sticks on ST
I prefer Japanese sticks for SF4 series
I prefer PS pad for Tekken (or Korean stick)
I prefer Korean or Japanese stick for KOF XIII
I prefer 360 silver pad for MK9 except when I use Jax
I prefer American stick for MK2, UMK3, etc
anything older than 2008 I essentially want an American stick more than anything
Using all of those different things keep me from having character/game overlap issues…
But what we really need are specialists in certain games to keep the level of competition high because right now it’s oversaturated taking away from other games as well as taking numbers away…welcome to 8-12 man tourneys
taking mm’s in some gay ass japanese dancing games get at me
