@ Sev: Every character is broken so therefore the game is balanced. Nah, I’m not even gone lie. Date is low tier just because he doesn’t have an infinite. But game was fun and felt like a real fg besides the broke shit. Capcom should’ve put at least one of the Basara characters in MvC3, but that made too much sense. I wish they’d make a SBXX but Capcom is in a totally diff state now, and with Arc Sys scraping any media to start new projects, both companies will prob never collaborate again for a new game.
@ Sunstone: Yea I remember playing it with you for 3 minutes at Power Play. I like SamSho, but this one did feel pretty shitty from the bit I played of it. It’d make a hilarious mystery tournament game though.

Like Josh G. said, try the MMX Remix album. It has some smooth jazz that’s dope, but idk how well it is for working out. Johnny Looo knows what’s up with the Guilty Gear OSTs. Primarily the Korean GGXX Reload and GGXXAC. Isuka had some tracks I liked too. But Korean Reload had the most pulse pounding shit. Idk why they produced those tracks for Phil and the Koreans in their version of the game, but shit was sick. It’s what I’d be on in the gym, or on the clock. I wish I had a cd player in this work van. Day would be waaaay more productive. But yea, check it out.

Of all of the characters I’m trying to learn, I think K’ has the lowest return for effort given… but he’s the most fun. By return for effort I mean he’s way harder than other, better characters like Billy, Clark. He does have his place though. He can run all over certain cast members and he’s still dangerous, just not the best or anything.
You must be trying that crazy shit if you’re having that much trouble with him. What kinds of combos are you trying to do? Either way, I think he’s a point character 99% of the time, and his meterless BnB does pretty good damage.

I would like to second FlyMike’s remarks about the Korean #Reload soundtrack. All the Guilty Gear music is good, and can never be replaced, but when you first hear the Korean tracks after being so used to the traditional music, all your brain can do is go “OOOOOHHHHH SHIIIIIIIII-”.
And I gotta say I’m a Ky player through and through but if I could learn to play any other character, it would probably be Venom. Seeing a good Venom is a thing of beauty with all the crazy ass zoning and pressure that comes from those cue balls.

It’s crazy. I was like, “What has Korea done to deserve this epic shit??” When I first played Korean # disc years ago I thought it was a modded game, like those DC MvC2 discs. The music isn’t even typical GG music. Every GG song has a similar kind of tune almost that lets you know it’s GG music. Korean OST is completely different. Some of it sounds completely evil. But in a good way.
Like just off the top of the dome, Testament’s track. Huh? Why??? If I was a kid and that music started playing and then my closet door suddenly opened, I’d die instantly. ASAP. Heart would stop before anything could even walk out. And people are getting combo’ed and raped to that shit. Smh.

This is around the time they start selling out in regards to the three day passes so snatch them up while you can. They do sell single day passes though. You can purchase them at the door or through ticketmaster. I would definitely get them at ticketmaster for a faster transition through the line.
