The netcode is very solid. I barely feel any lag unless I’m running at 3 connection, and even then it’s mostly playable. 4/5 is rock solid. I guess that netcode lesson from SCV did in fact transfer over to Tag2U.
I need to check out Tekken federation and see what the deal is.
Forwarding shouts from the MTNG crew that were directed at people commonly found on SRK.
Milln:
-Shouts to TotalNinja the Labrys for his first tournament and playing Labrys THE QUEEN OF JUMP B ROCKET AXE IT COVERS THE WHOLE SCREEN.
-Shouters to DoromacnCheese for gaining a lot of appreciation all at once.
-THE BEST SHOUTOUTS TO DAXMAN THE YOSUKE OF ALL YOSUKES. I’ve said it once, i’ll say it every single chance I get. I love Yosuke dittos. So much. You’re great to hang with, I loved our tournament match to death, thank you very much for cheering me on, I needed it even though I couldn’t pull the W out! See you at King of Bling and definitely online. Don’t forget to hit up the Yosuke board for all the information ever, and -definitely- post here often!
-Zeth got his shout in person.
-Zach for being awesome as usual. You’re great to have around!
Klein:
-Shout outs to fellow Labry Ninjadude (your new name) for coming out and playing. Tournament nerves will give out with time and practice, just keep fighting people and learn the Yosuke matchup well, and I’m sure you’ll do great.
-Shout outs to Doromac yielding to peer pressure and coming out to have some fun.
-Shout outs to Dax, it was fun playing casuals and hanging out with you man. Keep up 'dat Yosuke.
-Shout outs to Zeth. It was a lot of fun hanging out and playing some casuals with you, Milln, and the cats. Hope we can get in some more when the next tournament rolls around.
Volpe:
-Random Abel SF player - You seemed like a pretty chill dude, even though we were just bullshitting and I never even got your name.
Star:
-Chris Brown- My new-found Mitsuru brother. I look forward to getting to fight you and help your Mitsuru along in getting better.
-Boomcube- Had a very fun set against you man. Looking forward to fighting you more and glad a few of my tips ended up helping you in the match-up.
-Dax- It was cool meeting you man. Glad you came out and I hope you continue to do so. I’m sorry to hear about the fact that you didn’t know about an existing BlazBlue scene in Middle Tennessee all this time. Really would’ve liked to play you in that.
-Bishop and your crew- WHY YOU NO SHOW UP?!?!!
-KingofBling- Going to be mad hype and I look forward to competing in both Singles and the State v. State matches.
FlyMike: I still can’t get that Nina combo, I’m missing something in it. Ian tried to tell me the same combo but I still couldn’t do it and that was 4 years ago…there’s a trick to it and I’m not really sure what to do so since I never do it I get frustrated, it still doesn’t make any sense to me…I miss whatever I am supposed to do for the SS every single time…
I really need to know in stupid terms how to do it, like hold up the stick, press so and so, etc, I still can’t grasp it
Top list of fighting game things I still have never been able to do:
Nina combo with SS and 1 in it
C. Viper (multiple seismos/SJ cancel seismo stuff in general/Fierce Feint Fierce I BARELY get)
El Fuerte (Run Stop Fierce more than twice and even then I still can’t get it twice half the time)
Roll Cancelling in CVS2 more than 20% of the time
Bison and Sakura A Groove combos (seriously, the easy ones, lol)
I’ve been trying for YEARS to do RSF, still can’t get it.
I think you’re just trying to do it the hard way. Neither of those are very hard. Viper’s only hard technique really is doing Latif style double feints, which I’ve only ever seen Latif do… so fuck that. Not like it is important to anything anyway.
@ Jason: Lol it’s not hard seriously, but not something that I can really tell you. You just have to kinda be shown and get a feel for it I guess. And you’ve probably already done it by accident (the SS canceling).
Here is a vid I found right quick of a breakdown of her early BR combos. Shit has been maximized since then but it at least shows the SS cancels in combos 1 and 3. Combo 2, don’t do another sweep. Do f,f+1+2 and hold it if they lay on the ground. Move can be charged. Hadouken.
Well, by get I mean the movement concept finally clicked. I’m not doing the optimal backdash, I have an extra input but the LUYG vid definitely helped visualize the inputs.
Another bob victim mwahaha.
Drag bnb is usually launch, 41, 132b! Ender is either 312 or f3~df then iWR 1+2. Insert TA filler as needed.
121 can be your best friend, but only on ch. D2 sets you up for some nasty WR options. F3~df aka stepkick is also nice for pressure and mixups imo. Ymmv.
Just something I had him come up with on the fly. I plugged it on my stream last night while I had a good amount of viewers. I wanted to at least have something to show.
