In all seriousness… The most trouble I had was trying to figure out wtf my playstyle was in that game. It’s hard to tell characters apart, let alone how they play… I just like speedy characters that do random shit. Tekken seems a lot about spacing and footsies though. And also spacial awareness for dem wall combos.
As far as “speed” in tekken, a lot of that is dictated by how well you can use the movement system. Other than that it’s just about frames. I believe nearly everyone has a 10frame jab. After that it’s a matter of what your best (top 10-20) moves are and what their properties are.
Just like how Ryu can play very a very effective zoning game with maybe five moves and variations thereof, you can learn like 20 moves out of 80-100 and do well, as long as they are the right moves and you use them properly.
Everybody except Ganryu. He has a 12f jab. It hits lower than standard jabs, which is kinda cool. But to compensate for lack of punisher under 12f…he has that 10f headbutt. whistles

FYI for the knew tek players that headbutt hits high only DUCK that shit and launch punish him. Mike also likes to try and get you to block certain attacks and then he spams that headbutt to crush your counter attack attempt since it knocks down. Dont fall for it make him whiff and smash him.
