Let me get this straight… I get third place at a tournament, which means I cheated.

Wutevea, I don’t know who you are, but you have no clue what you’re talking about. I assume you heard me talking to Cedric, and you obviously misheard. When I realized I was going up against Johnny, who is a Memphis player and is part of my same scene, I went up to Cedric and said there was an issue with the brackets, and to see if we could be separated. I looked at the bracket, and every person from Memphis but two won their first match, which meant that no matter where I was moved, I would have played someone from Memphis. I told him to leave it where it was and not worry about it.
As for saying I lost but was still in winners? Again, you’re completely wrong. Here’s who I played in order:
Beat Marcus R
Beat Johnny Le
Beat Dax Foster (who placed 5th and beat w00t)
Beat Cedric W (who placed 7th, beat Sev, and finished 5th at Memphis Office Battles)
Sent to losers by Raekwon (won 1st)
Eliminated by Mike Weng (finished 2nd)
I had no hand in creating the brackets, and the only time I talked to Cedric about my spot was to separate two Memphis players, and then I saw that was impossible so I didn’t mention it again.
But seriously… I thought you guys were my friends. I was going to stay quiet because I proved my point that I’m better than you guys think I am, and not try to rub anything in. I was going to try to handle this with respect and integrity to everyone because I knew people would be mad that I got third.
But this? This is just petty. You guys should know better, and I’m seriously disappointed. Even thinking I would cheat hurts.

Is he not to be given a chance to explain the situation? Are you not interested in understanding what happened before passing judgement? Seriously, cheating is a serious accusation. People need to be given a chance to discuss it because it doesn’t only affect the occurrence and the people who were there. It also affects that player’s reputation going forward. Unfortunately, when this kind of thing is alleged everyone who is involved needs to come together and deal with it. It’s what’s best for the community.

I will say that I did hear the conversation between Duckie and the TO before the match with Johnny and it didn’t match up to Duckie’s account.
Just out of curiosity of something I noticed while reading duckies post, how do you beat Cedric W twice before being sent to the loser bracket?
