Firebrand is fun to play,just as he should be and not basura caliente like arthur is. No wonder ghost n goblins was damn near impossible.to beat. Its not because the game was hard but because arthur was as good as gdbell is in fighting games.

You can cancel one rekka into another any time during the recovery period of the intial rekka, so there’s plenty of frame trap options and none of his rekkas are genuinely “punishable” until the third, and even then, his qcf+A rekka is completely safe on block all the time. Plus there’s still the threat of canceling into hockey dad punches hyper, which rocks plenty of invincibility and offers a followup combo afterwards.
If you really want to build a team around IF, consider taking out either of your backups for Spencer. Dax had the point on this, and it works super well. Spencer lets him convert off any OTG heel with a full combo (much easier conversions off throws and anti-air juggles), and starting with a st.B or crossup j.C, you can break the 950k health class with 2 bars (starting with one, you generate one during the combo). Tasks arrows would be really good for IF’s approach, and Frank’s shopping cart is just cheap lockdown once you get in. DHC potential would be better with task, but I don’t know what kind of love you’ve got for Frank, so that’s your call.
