Yeah with most characters my bnbs are still simple, but lord help you if Terry touches you I can do some mean combos with him
I think I’m gonna put Strange on the back burner for a bit, still practicing his loops every day multiple times but I can’t figure out a team I like enough with him yet so we’ll just wait. In the mean time I think I’m gonna make a team with Cap and Hawkeye, any suggestions to go in the middle. Looking at you astaroth, jas, bishop, boomcube, etc.r
Or if you have any ideas on strange teams let me know, pretty deadset on wanting to use hawkeye though and i hate doom
Joker, you can enter the dash input and the hold DOWN FORWARD to charge downwards while running.
Also, it’s getting to be that time of the year.

So how’s the netcode on KOFXIII? Still need to go pick it up, trying to get my money right. I really hope I can play it. I sure am scared, with no comeback factor. Poor lil’ 09’er like me probably can’t hack it. I’ll have it tomorrow most likely for xcox so anyone with XBL add me or send me an invite if you see me on.
I played a 2 bar person and there was lag but when i played a 3 bar person the game ran smooth. I think i had a couple minor problems but nothing to complain about for online.
That would be amazing …
[This is sad news ,Remember Kamala? He had one leg removed

This is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen.
Damn…wanted to hop on KoF last night but wasn’t feeling well when I got home and just passed out. Getting on it today. All the talk here in the thread is increasing anticipation. I was able to fuck with Terry briefly in training mode last night at GG just trying to get accustomed to him and combo building. Had a ton of fun and my worries about execution in the game we resolved as I was having little to no trouble.
In the meantime, Marvel heads - your assignment is to build me a brokefuck team around Doom. He is basically the only character I gave a fuck about in Vanilla due to him basically being Bison if he were a Marvel villian. I was just having a hell of a time getting a team together. I hear he’s stupid good now sooooo…leggo

So do you get the King of Soundtracks thing with every copy of the game, or just certain ones?
I believe it’s first run only. Pick it up if you can, it’s got some great tracks on it.
If I can play KoF13 online ok in Holland then I’m done with SF for the time being. Didn’t think that I’d see the day but I’m just pretty frustrated with SF4. I wish that I would have known earlier that KoF was such a solid game. I played shit like Art of Fighting and Fatal Fury and wasn’t impressed.
Interesting, noted for future reference. I’ll have to try that and then follow it up with Moon Slasher to get in. That move seemed to have nice priority and knocks them back really far to set up the corner pressure I was talking about. Mix it up with the normal run in jab pressure or sweep.
If you can get it off the only thing I’ve found use with the earring bomb so far is to follow it like a sonic boom. It’s a really slow move but it helps her get in if you can use it.
I’d say it’s pretty good. 2 bar connections are playable but nothing special. Definitely want 3 bars and up. I played Billy last night and we had 4 bars, I don’t think I saw it lag once.
Pre-orders and first runs.

Same here dude. It’s not like I won’t play SF4 but as far as trying to get better at it, I’m on a KoF binge. I liked what I played and will not be dropping anytime soon. I’ll actually bring my Xbox back home during break because I don’t want to fall behind.
Liking the game so far, it’s different from the KoF I was used to ('98) but it’s still pretty solid. I think I’ll buy it on pay day.
Btw should I not be using sweep that much? I’ve seemed to have a lot of success throwing it out there with Leona and Terry I was just wondering cause in SF I was never supposed to sweep with Guile lolol
Remember that many characters can cancel their sweeps into special to make them more safe. However, an opponent can roll after your sweep to get at you.
Shawn, are a lot of people in Holland picking up the game as well?
Some, I’m hosting a get together on Sunday to try to get more people here. Again, i’m the guy with the big ass lag free hdtv.
A few more things…
-
Transitioning from SF4 you gotta do things later. Cancel moves later (it’s easy) hit your jump ins later, etc. SF4 is incredibly lenient so it’s in your best interest to do stuff early so that yours comes out first. Not so much here.
-
Leona’s moon slicer (d, u, p) is insanely negative on block. You will get supered for free. Use it in combos or as an anti-air. It’s an amazing anti-air.

With Kyo you can apply some good pressure with stuff like… c.BB, dash, cl.C. This is effectively a frame trap. You can vary it by only hitting crouch B once, then HOLD FORWARD when going for close C otherwise you’ll get far C. This is a smaller gap than the previous trap. If they’re blocking it a lot you can do crouch BB pause sweep xx fireball. Also, I don’t have 13 on console yet (only the arcade version on PC, and i don’t get much time with it) but in 2002 you can do crouch.BA then hyper hop B will cross up every time. It’s hard to do… In KoF there are no accidnetal crossups.
Hooray for more KOF players! We’ll be having a KOFXIII tourney during our big one day event down here December 10th. Should definitely make it out if you’re loving the game.
Here’s a new Facebook event link for those FB users. Has a map for the location, too.
Man you remember a KoF character design I always dug? Oswald. I recall him being dumb good too when he debuted in XI, like S tier, also a charge character? I don’t think he’s been in a game since though…
