The main problem for me I think is that there’s little structure between posts, avatars, boxes, this, that and the other. It’s like a giant clusterfuck of squares, rectangles, text, buttons and what have you, it’s hard knowing what is from what. Example, the threads in each main forum; it’s like “thread by this guy dadadada” and you don’t know whether it’s his name, the thread title or what. All in all, I’m liking the look, I’m not used to it by any means, after all I’ve been using 2K00 SRK for five years now, however I’m sure it’ll grow on me. It just needs to be simplified I think, more defined with the palets, more like 2K00 SRK except not, if you get me… I do like the change though, it’s fresh and deffinately nice to see the forum taking these kinds of steps forward. It actually reminds me of the OLD SRK from what little i’ve seen of it.
It’s…weird. Kinda Web 2.0 for my tastes, but it’s a beta and the idea is sound (being accommodating for newer players/making SRK the all encompassing SFIV and/or fighting game hub).
I miss my Blue Steel though…and my rep. I almost had a full bar ;_;
As for the text…white or grey…its still a light colored font on a pitch black background, which is a big “no-no” in terms of readability and eye strain.
As for the join date issue, I guess we just see things differently. No where did I say that a join date guarantees quality or lack of quality, just that I pay more attention when advice comes from someone who has been an active member of this community for 8 years, as opposed to 8 months. Will there be exceptions? Of course. Is it a strict rule? Of course not. Do I think its a reasonable rule of thumb? Yes.
I agree, it looks just fine to me, I can see the time stamps so its practically the same as the old one, just black… I like blue skin better tho, but this one would do just fine.
That ugly, thick border around avatars is so hideous. Embarrassing.
i’m iffy on this. It looks good with some avatars (especially ones with like…1px border.) but with larger size borders like mine…it just makes it look bigger than it should. Any way you guys could remove that thick gray border?

The reputation which i labored so hard and so long for? Gone. All the wit, sarcasm and implied pedophelia, all for nothing. All those hours churning out walls of text, down the drain.
Join dates? Gone. So long authority, so long pride. The single crowning achivement in my life has been removed so that others can feel better about their inferiority.
The cool, soothing blue glow of srk used to comfort me, lull me into a deep sleep after pouring my heart out, now it is an oppressive wall of death, staring me down, hating me with all of its tiny heart. Even my once proud user control panel, a bastion of security and confidence in an otherwise cold and cruel cyberspace, has been gutted…it is a shell of its once majectic splendor. Even now it cowers in the corner, hidden by a poorly laid out navigation bar.
What sad times srk. Never in my life have i ever felt passionate about anything, until now. I can only hope the desperation in my words and the tears in my eyes can pierce the darkness and frightening newness that plagues srk.

And why the f&%k do i have to lower firefox default font size from my usual, all the way down to 11 just so i can access the edit button?! Otherwise it collides with the others and is covered.
