It just doesn’t quite feel like SRK with out the Blue Steel. Oh well it’s starting to grow on me already.

None of the sizes work quite right with firefox (especially front page). Also the little quotation marks in the quotes are laaaaame
fixed. Even if it was being abused, at least I could tell if people were trolling without having to wonder if I should take this guy serious. Of course some of this might just be me being pissed that I was finally getting rep after lurking the forums for 5 years.
I dunno…seems like the rep bit was the “gimmick” going for SRK. It didn’t really make or break the site, but it was kind of a “heads up” when you see it.
Honestly, I don’t have much to complain about with regards to the new features and such, as I’ve never cared about rep or seeing join dates in posts. I’m sure all of the problems and bugs people are encountering will be fixed eventually. The only complaint I have is about the new black-on-white background. As others have said, it’s kinda hard on the eyes. What would be ideal, is the option to select which one you would like to use, as I prefer the old Blue Steel layout.

checking in photoshop, the line is ever so slight. the post background is colored R:20 G:20 B:20 and the line is R:34 G:34 B:34.
I can see the line pretty clearly.
Dislike. The design is horrible. Everything is so big it just takes so much space on your screen. And to top it all off we only have 80% of the screen in use because the left side that is blocked by ad blockers is empty. No thank you.
As a dirty, dirty '09er, I’d like to say that I happen to like the new SRK layout. It’s very streamlined, and in some cases, it’s quite minimalistic. I don’t understand what everyone is talking about though. I don’t see any ads in this thread at all. I’m on FF with AdBlock-Plus though, so that might be the culprit. I guess I wasn’t around for white type on black background, but from my understanding, a color scheme based around black and orange is scientifically the least straining on the eyes, especially for longer periods of time. So a Halloween-styled SRK theme would possibly work, if you weren’t crazy with the orange accents.
Rep, when it wasn’t abused was actually an effective method of self policing. Heck the fact that I wanted to fill my bar with green before '09 was out meant that I made sure that I did my best to make good posts and not just the usual forum drivel.
EDIT:
The most obvious slowdown at this point seems to be the avatars, most seem to pop up a good 2-3 seconds after the page loads (including some that I’m pretty sure I’ve seen before meaning it’s not just slow loading of new images.

I am digging the new layout, and it’ll be nice to respond to stuff on the main page without having to register for a second system.

the line may be pretty invisible due to the fact it’s thin light grey hue line trying to show in a slightly darker hue grey. Add that with the black background/white text and moving your eyes will pretty much ignore it due to the afterimage.
