So Olliver’s goon downloaded the “information” from the wireless router…that wasn’t plugged in…to generate a signal?
What information were they trying to get a hold of? How come Tess wasn’t in the episode?
How did Doomsday know how to get to the Fortress?
It was a cool episode setting up for the conclusion of the series…but…

Brainiac Cloie interacted with Doomsday so I am assuming he gave him the information on how to find him.

Stop trying to make sense of things. Enjoy the good bits of the show where they and be thankful the plot holes aren’t as large as they were back in the earlier seasons. Or as they are on Heroes.
Hey guys, I used to watch smallville alot, but havent seen it for the last few years. I saw this last episide and WTF? can someone explain some huge holes for me? i guess i missed alot.
Why is lana no longer there regularly? what happened? is she working for lex or something? how did she find out clarks secrets?

Left the show last season. She just sort of guest starred in this one and is believed to appear in an episode or two later this season. Pretty much bounced between Clark, Lex and Clark for a while before finally calling it quits according to the story.
Lex, sort of disappeared I think. No one knows exactly where he is other then the fact that he found out Clark’s secret at the end of last season where he also killed his pops.
Left the show so at first she was banished to the phantom zone but then got rescued and now she is traveling her own path outside of Clark’s life.
was there an episode this thanksgiving? cause i didnt get to watch it?
Nope, and there are no new episodes till next year, I think.

Everything old on Fox is becoming new on the CW.
Coming off the success of 90210 (by CW standards), the network is going forward with the long-rumored revival of Melrose Place. A pilot will be shot this spring, Dawn Ostroff, the CW’s Entertainment President, confirmed in a meeting with TV writers at a West Hollywood coffee shop modeled after 90210’s Peach Pit.
Now all the CW needs is a new Heather Locklear.
Also on the drawing board is a new drama, Light Years, aimed at the 90210-Gossip Girl young women demographic. Think Gilmore Girls meets Juno, Ostroff said.
A teen couple conceives a child and puts it up for adoption. Fifteen years later, the offspring, a girl, shows up wanting to be a part of her natural parents’ lives.
Ostroff declined to definitively say Smallville is over after this season but she indicated this is the direction the CW is leaning. The producers have been told to create a season-ender that could also serve as the series-ender.
Palm Beach-set Privileged (pictured below right) is also on the danger list, although Ostroff said there have been areas of slight improvement in the show’s ratings. If the upward tick continues in the remaining episodes, Privileged would be a longshot contender for a second season. (The smart money is still betting against this.)
A network session wouldn’t be complete without the announcement of at least one tacky reality show. Later this season, the CW will introduce a mating concept called Hitched or Ditched. Couples, who have been in a long relationship, will be given one week to decide if they want to accept the show’s offer of a lavish wedding.
The flipside is, if they realize they aren’t serious enough to take advantage of such a lucrative offer, the relationship is probably going nowhere and maybe they should re-examine where they are as a couple.
Instead of Hitched or Ditched, they ought to call this Do It Or Get Off the Pot.
Looks like this may be the last season.
It’s just as well, though, since the show isn’t even about Smallville anymore, and Clark basically is Superman already. Plus, I don’t like how they’re bringing in top tier villains that Clark shouldn’t be able to handle yet already.
Well, since it might be looking like that last season, end it in a bang. Clark vs Doomsday, and tear down half the city in the process. Both seemingly die. Later in the episode, after the regulars are done grieving over a dead Clark, people look up to the skies:
“It’s a bird”
"It’s a plane"
Cue the Superman music from the movies
The End…
I just read that Tom Welling is actually contractually obligated to never wear the Superman costume. So much for having a sweet ending.
EDIT: And here’s a snippet of an interview with Michael Rosenbaum.
http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=80754
Q: Well, you definitely hit it big with the WB show Smallville, playing Lex Luthor. How many seasons were you on?
MB: I did seven seasons and I just finished this past May. They are continuing on another season. My contract was up and it had run its course. I loved the cast and the crew but I felt like my work was done. They have asked me to come back a few times. People think they have seen me on the show since then but I found out they have been using body doubles to pretend that it’s me. I don’t know how fair that is to the fans.
Q: So you don’t think you will ever come back?
MB: No. I told the producers that I would only come back for the last episode or two if they let me wear a bald cap. I just grew my hair out.
Q: Shaving your hair just drove you crazy, didn’t it?
MB: It wore out its welcome. Seven years everyday, filming in Vancouver, freezing my ass off. I couldn’t even wear a hat because my makeup would get ruined. I had to be there two hours before the crew got there to shave my head. The makeup girl was like my therapist. She knew everything about me and knew I wasn’t coming back. I am truly grateful to the show. It put me on the map. It gave me financial stability. I am able to take care of my mother’s gambling problem
EDIT 2: Here’s some more (old) info.

Smallville prepares to finish due to Welling ‘unavailability’, says producer
By David Bentley on Dec 7, 08 03:57 AM
SMALLVILLE could be forced to end because of ‘actor availability’ issues with Tom Welling, according to one of the show’s executive producers.
The show reimagines the younger years of Clark Kent before he became Superman, with 31-year-old Welling in the lead role.
Kryptonsite reports that executive produce Darren Swimmer told TV Guide that although the show is enjoying a ratings rebound in its eighth season, it may have to end in May because of actor availability problems, notably with Welling. There was no response to calls to the actor’s agents.
A grand finale for the show is being prepared in the event that it is finishing for good. Lex Luthor actor Michael Rosenbaum has already left, as has Kristin Kreuk who played Lana Lang. Lex’s father Lionel (John Glover) was killed off and Clark’s mother (Annette O’Toole) was written out some time ago.
We are unlikely to see Welling (pictured right) don the classic Superman costume for Smallville’s final scenes because it would conflict with the big-screen franchise, according to Swimmer. But viewers will see Clark developing the classic dual identity in episodes later this series.
Swimmer suggests that if the ninth season is scrapped and the show ends, one alternative might be a Martian Manhunter spin-off featuring the superpowered supporting character played in the show by Phil Morris (pictured below left). It’s not entirely clear how serious he is about this idea.
The news obviously leads to questions over why Welling is unavailable. Is he simply moving on or does he have some other role lined up?
There have been calls - and petitions - to see Welling appear as Superman on the big screen. Could it be possible that he is a contender for a movie version of Superman - either in the proposed Man of Steel movie (which will be a reintroduction, not a sequel to Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns) or in George Miller’s proposed Justice League team-up film?
A Superman actor would also be required for the Clark Kent cameo planned for the Green Lantern movie, which starts filming next year, although such a cameo wouldn’t create a long-term availability problem.
Equally, it could simply mean Welling has had enough of Smallville and wants to move on to new pastures - it does’t necessarily mean he wants to play Superman in another project.
They already tried the Aquaman spin-off (ironically not with the guy who played Aquaman, but the guy who plays Green Arrow, Justin Hartley) and it didn’t go anywhere. I doubt a Martian Manhunter series would go over terribly well. Hell, even Batman doesn’t get good TV shows. Not that Birds of Prey was about Batman, but was at least based on the character and was actually pretty decent too.

Oh well, it’s had a good run.
But if this show goes, that’s one less show for me to watch.
And I don’t watch much TV.
Geoff Johns’ episode tonight shit will be good (i hope)
Smallville comes back on tonight?
Wait… why the hell am I excited about that?
So clark just takes easily dodgeable blows not knowing whether or not they could be fatal?
