I thought it was a solid premiere. I’m not sure why they didn’t just go all out and bring in the entire Justice League if they were simply going to disband them at the end fo the show anyway. I’m not sure if I caught a continuity error but The Martian Manhunter said that the yellow sun depleted his powers but when he first appeared and got rocked by the first Phantom, he used the yellow sun to heal himself. Did I miss something here?
I’m not a fan of Erica Durance but they did a great job with her hair and makeup this episode. As long as she doesn’t smile you don’t see the billion wrikles riddling her face and she’s pretty nice to look at.
Laura Vandervoort was so great to look at but man did they drop the ball on using her last season. She’s only booked for a few episodes this season. It’s a shame too because they could have done so much with her character.

I caught the last 45 minutes. I like how they made Lois more “Lois” like. I like the fact that Clark is actually progressing instead of always whining about everything.

martian manhunter’s weakness is fire/heat i believe… so thats why the sun depleted his powers i guess. he’ll probably lose them temporarily or some shit.
Lex is gone. Michael Rosenbaum (but he is scheduled to make a few appearances this season, I think) is no longer with the show, so Lex is going to be “missing” for a while.
Chloe has a little junk in the trunk though, so bend her over and you don’t have to worry about those bug eyes. :wonder:

Smallvile must be seperate universe from the main DCU…even Lex knows Clark is an alien.
It’s interesting to see what they do with this, but it’s still silly to even have Doomsday on here. Of course Clark is not even being close to an appropriate “powerlevel” for that. The dumbass still can’t even fly. I guess they’re just showing us the lifeform that will eventually become the Doomsday creature much later on in the future…so he should still be rookie/scrub-status at this point as well. Perhaps he’s still on his first few deaths, still in the baby-stage of his development?
ah, that would be such a great powerset to have…strength that is on par with Superman of all people…and that factor of coming back immune to whatever it was that “killed” you previously. Nothing could stop you. Has he even shown up in the comics recently? Last I heard, he had to be placed at the end of time…so he wasn’t ever killed(since that is apparently impossible)…just moved to a spot where I guess he could no longer harm any other living things. (*far off in the future where I suppose everything is already dead)

Last I remember he showed up in Infinite Crisis but it was a scrub appearance, where he was done in by two Supermen and they promply went on to the major threat of the series.

It’s interesting that this show is actually going to make Doomsday a somewhat interesting character, by giving him this “kinda human” background, apparently. Any kind of substance is better than a “KILL EVERYTHING! I’M IMMUNE TO DEATHLOLOL” premise.
