i dunno why but this seasons plot seems hella familar…oh reminds me of the 13 ghost of scooby doo lol.
On the contrary, the current season has been far more interesting than anything before it…at least in my opinion. Stuff is actually happening that interests me, for a change. Before, Smallville typically had amazing premieres and season finales…but most of the stuff between was forgettable and lame. This season seems like quite an improvement, imo. The only true weak point in the show for me now is that the battles still seem to be anticlimactic. There is usually a great build-up…and then something happens like Clark pushes a person into a wall, and they’re done, just like that…the fight with Zod was surprisingly nice, and not like this. Unfortnately, this is a problem that stems from the character itself. Clark/Superman is so powerful, a battle is never going to be drawn out and intense, unless it’s something on his level, like Zod, Brainiac, or Doomsday, etc.
We need Brainiac to return though…that should most likely be inevitable…
yeah this season is great, seems like it’ll be one of my favs… clark has made more progression to superman in this season than in all the other seasons combined. green arrow arc is almost over though… 2nd half should be more about clark to all the ppl bitching how it’s not about clark anymore.
i think lana will lose the baby somehow… possibly somehow by clark. every season clark does something that has tragic results lol man if you ask me, they should just kill off lana already… she has no significance to being on the show other than being lex’s bitch. i think i read somewhere that this’ll be kristen’s last season so maybe my wish will come true.
Well Million and maxx’s opinions have given me hope for season 6. After reading about how overall crappy season 5 was, I was afraid season 6 would see a similar turn. Looks like that isn’t the case.
Lana is still with Lex and carrying his kid? 
… :rolleyes: What-the-eff-ever. The other stuff sounds pretty good but this sounds really dumb. Did this season get some different writers? Or was there a change in writers the last season?
Speaking of Lana, I was fed up with her in season 4. Being hot only takes you so far and she’s reached her limit IMO. That whinney broad should have been introduced to the stairs a few seasons ago.
Clark is still throwing people? Man. He does need some more powerful foes. We need Darkseid up in here.

Finally caught up with SV just saw ep 1 of Season 6 and hot damn that was a ride!!!
I finally caught up with Smallville with all the episodes this season, and damn, I really like it so far.
And Kristin Kreuk may be top tier in my book, but maaaan, Lana is just lame now. Evil Lana? Pregnant Lana? Good grief.
Otherwise, great season so far. :tup:
I’m liking the new season more than the previous ones, mainly because, like Million said, stuff is actually hapenning not only in the Premiere episode.
GA is making the season, and I am glad that’s not bats, I wouldn’t have liked seeing him having an affair with Lois or going into drugs for feeling inferior to supes, so Olliver’s char makes sense to me.
But still they have some things that are great downs overall:
- The “Don’t do drugs kids!” tone of the episode.
- Lana pregnancy being so damn obvious. Seemed taken out of a bad soap opera.
- The dinner scene corniness.
wow, this season just keeps getting better. batista showing off wrestling moves and ripping out peoples bones was too good.
introduction of martian manhunter was too crazy, i wonder if he’ll be back.

I admit the Martian Manhunter appearance took me by complete surprise.
Although the show could use a bit more colored folk.

TV guide or some other entertainment magazine said that Martian manhunter would make an appearance in the episode entitled Static.
In the comics, his powers include, super strength, flight, telepathy, shapeshifting, invisibility, “martian vision” and density manipulation (phasing). Not too sure if he has a taste for Oreos in the comics though.
So far we’ve seen strength, flight and invisibility.
its obviously martian manhunter… although i don’t know too much about his character, its said he’s addicted to oreos due to captain marvel’s influence and clark kept finding oreos so that was the clue it was him.
So martin manhunter(?) is like super man only better?
Also what kind of move did he use on batista? Is batista dead,?
In terms of the powers they have in common, (strength, speed/flight), Superman beats MM in those areas.
In terms of other powers, it depends on the situation.
Superman has xray vision, heat vision, telescopic/microscopic vision, freeze breath, super hearing.
MM has martian vision, shapeshifting, invisibility, telepathy, density manipulation (phasing).
in some areas i think mm beats supes, but i think overall superman is stronger. mm also has a few powers supes doesn’t that box mentioned in the post above. mm’s weakness is fire(what a gay weakness).

and yes, batista is dead, mm killed him easily. clark needs to step it up if he can’t even handle zoners. i can’t imagine how he’ll be able to take on the two disciples of zod that are still left on earth.
oh yeah, i forgot to mention… i love how they brought level 33.1(season 4) back in to play, yay for continuity! also good to see lionel back to his old ways again too.
IMO, MM >> Supes. Supes is broken to be sure, but MM is more broken.
As for Clark stepping it up… you gotta remember he’s the “big blue boy scout.” He and Batman don’t/won’t kill ANYBODY regardless of how obvious it is that they should. That little weakness there are the only two things that make Superman and Batman not just absolutely sickenly broken.
So, now I’m wondering if MM will appear along side Green Arrow, Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, and (other person I’m forgetting) in the episode “Justice?” How overly pimp would that be?! :tup:
