Rob, im tellin you man haha you just gotta take it for what its worth. i couldnt play right for weeks after i got scrubbed out of that FFC tournament by some random. Its just motivation to use that adrenaline and hype to reach your max instead of Maxing out.
I couldn’t help it, I had to start yelling at that guy. I don’t think I woulda cared at all if it was actual commentary and shit-talk, but hearing “…so…I like to play Warcraft 3…” and “just waiting for SF4 finals to start” for the entity of the entire final 4 was driving me insane.

Hi guys! Its been a long time since I’ve posted but when I did post I didn’t post much. I actually live in Council Bluffs, IA but within walking distance of Omaha, I was just curious if anyone is going to the Tekken 6 Tournament this sunday? It is my first tournament ever and I am pretty nervous.
Forgot to mention the tournament is at Family Fun Center, which I think is the only place in Omaha that even has tournaments.
Also a question for anyone who has been to Family Fun Center Tournaments, I saw on the website that you can bring your own arcade stick, it my case its a cheapy Hori Ex2 but it is what I am used to but my main concern was if I could customize the the controls, in game, to fit my arcade stick. I mean all the changes would be legal I just do not play on the default settings of Tekken 6 so I was just wondering.
If anyone could answer these questions and maybe extend a friendly hand so I don’t feel so nervous/scared about my first tournament.

oh and also you can map your buttons how you like. Definately dont be scared or nervous when you come up cuz we wont hurt you haha, and if you can play games you will fit right in.
LOL at that commentary, i cannot believe they let that kid sit up there like that and do his best Chris Hu impression (lame). sometimes i wonder why some people in our community like to pretend they are funny cuz they are lame at games ( i watched that same person get mad doing random rog ultras during the 4 tourney). I bet if he spent as much time learing to play as he does trying to get beat up he could be good at games

I don’t think I am that good by any means but I just enjoy the games and look to at the very least learn something, I’m sure everyone will recognize me since it seems like everyone that goes to the FFC tournaments seem to know each other.

Larsoney - I haven’t been in a tekken tournament since 4. I’m a lot like you, not great but enjoy the game nonetheless. Looking forward to being there and playing and watching some awesome competition on Sunday…

you know i was, theres a little thing called respect that wasnt being shown to 4 people up there playing in the finals of a tournament. Now i can understand if someone dont care they dont care. But where im from you keep it to yourself and dont get on a microphone and try to be funny and distracting while people are concentrating on playing/watching.
