I LOVE Advance Wars!
oh wait…that’s what they’re calling it? well…better than the title they gave the MoH game!
double post because fuck it not like this thread is as big as it once was…
I realize as of this year I have been playing this series for a decade but many didn’t catch on until about 5 years ago! (has it been that long since I was at E3?) Hell the events of Mw1 started in 2011! and the events of MW2 start in 2016…2 years from now…But why is this an issue with me?
well thing is as we march forward in time BO2 does look semi futuristic but with now Advance Warfare, the timeline now is blurred towards the BO2 timeline. I dunno it feels like it’s not that distinctly it’s own story. I still feel like they should push for a story that goes into an alternate world. Keeping it fresh it can be like say Resistance but with that modern setting.
so far like other CoD trailers before it, the in game footage and what’s inside will make or break it…Ghosts bored me to death and only notable truly fun games were MW1 MW2 and BO2 both campaign/Co-Op and MP.
This thread died because they are releasing the same game every year and people got sick of it. Until Activision realizes they need to go back to their roots and rely more on gunplay and less on kill/score/point/whatever they want to call it to sound cool this game streaks, they will continue to struggle.
House Of CODs
COD is on my Christmas wish list every year. Never-pay-for-it-swag.
I don’t feel like I’m done with Ghosts, but I haven’t played it in a while. Hoping Sledge pulls off a quality game. MW3>Ghosts, so maybe.
Want Treyarch.

You can scale side of buildings, that’s one thing you couldn’t do in Crysis.
Still haven’t managed to figure out how to make eyes “alive” yet, otherwise graphics looks very impressive
I think that the game will get “old” no matter what they do. There’s only so much you can do with the formula. But I think better hit detection would help a bit. It’s always a coin flip in BO2 between my bullets ending my opponents life or giving them the nutrients they need to start the day. If that aspect of the game persists, I might abandon the series.
But this latest trailer has me interested though.
I had loads of fun in BO2 and it had both.
This is a fighting game website, i’d assume most people here are used to playing and re-buying games that are re-released often with minor tweaks and additions.
It has a lot to due with Ghosts not really giving anyone much to talk about compared to other CODs. That’s not because it’s the “same thing” and it definitely isn’t because the quality is lessening in the series, because COD games don’t have consistent quality, it’s because Ghosts was “meh” despite being quite a bit different than the other COD games released so far.
This COD:AW looks even more different.
I really hope they find a way to incorporate both sliding and diving, that would be awesome.
Wasn’t much to talk about regarding ghosts… Didn’t help that a few other FPS kinda failed to really make a difference. Titanfall got very shallow to me and I kill more random bots than actual people. BF4 still feels unfinished and buggy. Everything else is a bland experience.
Ghosts took a very “Safe” approach with Ghosts. Straddling a Console Generation certainly didn’t help it either.
They took the “Safe” route…how so?
They piggie backed off of Treyarch who did the pick 10 but only did it for perks. Guns and attachments were now free and very few of them really change the experience much. Game play is mixed or at least it was for me. Everything felt like it was missing one key part. Graphics were good but nothing special. Sound was again ok but mediocre. Streaks came off as uninspired and boring. Nice that it didn’t make it so streak dominant but balance doesn’t mean it has to be boring.
Single player was more bland than MW3 and that’s saying something considering this and MW3 were the only ones I never finished. Co op was the only thing I liked. It’s what i wanted out of zombies. An ongoing story and campaign.
Cod has a single player?
The Black Ops 2 was a good interesting campaign that actually continued from BO1 and even WaW. I sometimes feel like shooting enemies…with a purpose…a story if you will.
Am I the only one who noticed that Kevin Spacey is cosplaying as the Illusive Man in that trailer ?
I hope they bring back the pick # system, but make it like BO2 where it’s everything instead of some things.
All I need is a shotgun(s)/revolver(s) and perks.
I’d be even happier if we could have a two secondaries perk since we already have a two primary weapons perk. I always thought it was retarded that we never had it, seeing as how it wouldn’t be game breaking.
I hope they bring back more health and smaller maps. Ghosts was such a poop storm, people spawning right next to you for no reason spawns fliping because someone sneezed in the wrong direction. Blops 2 is by far the best cod, it was engaging and fair for the most part ( connection is always an issue.) the maps were great for the most part. Plus hardpoint… Only thing i dont understand to this day in blops 2 is why they buffed the lmgs 3 times when they were by far the best lmgs in any cod out of the box.
Either way the new future setting looks so cool, i just hope they can make the mp good it feels like only treyarch knows / cares about the mp gameplay.
Only COD worth playing is 4.
