Lol what are you doing IW?
^
wut?
For me: BO1 >BO2 > MW2, Ghosts > MW3
Unfortunately I never got to play MW1 extensively online so I can’t comment on it. The same goes for W@W since my experience with it only involved a little offline split-screen multiplayer and zombies, but I never got to play it online.
Besides the hit detection (which everybody complained out, but I rarely experienced situations where I felt the hit detection cheated me out of a kill) I feel BO1 was overall the best.
+Good variety of small, medium, and large maps
+Maps weren’t “over-designed” with flank routes everywhere or with rooms having at least 5 different entrances to them
+Spawns weren’t shit (except on the smaller maps)
+Great perk balance
+Theater mode
+The best combat record in any CoD game
+Killstreaks were worth earning and had some practical use (except for maybe the Valkyrie Rockets)
+Great variety in game modes (core, HC, barebones, wager matches)
+Contracts
+They nerfed the shit out of quickscoping
+Zombies was amazing
+The introduction of Gun Game, Sharpshooter, One in the Chamber, and Sticks and Stones
+The customizable options in private match were great
+It took around 2 1/2 years for game breaking hacks to start showing up
+/- Cod points (not everybody liked them)
+/- Campaign (because lolcodcampaign, I only played it to unlock Five)
-Hit detection/Connection issues
-Some attachments were pointless for the most part on the majority of the guns (IR Scope, ACOG, Flamethrower)
-Most weapons where either an inferior or superior version of another weapon in its class (i.e. AK74u/MP5k, Spectre/Mac-11, FAL/M14 , etc.)
Honestly I loved the retro feeling of the game. I really liked the Cold War setting and the maps had certain feel to them that was awesome. Oh and the start menu was godlike.
I liked the futuristic setting, Pick 10 and scorestreak system of BO2, but the small, 3-laned cqc maps killed it for me as it made the matches turn out to be nothing but SMG clusterfucks.
MW2 and Ghosts can be interchangeable for me depending on my mood. MW2 maps were sick and the netcode was awesome, but that game turned to shit fast once the broken setups started showing up everywhere along with glitches and hacks. I REALLY want to like Ghosts I really do, but it tries my patience sometimes. I feel like IW might have had something with this game, but they dropped the ball. I will say though if there’s one thing I hope 3arc carries over from Ghosts its the perk system.
MW3 was basically MW2 with worse maps, spawns, and no OMA/DC/grenade launchers or M/L/C.
so what perks you guys feel you cant play without
i have to run sitrep, dead silence, and focus on every class. amplify is working its way in too. shits way too good to not use
i like ghosts now. i like blops2 more, but ghosts is fun. i figured out how to get around all the camping and i pretty much know counters to the popular hiding spots (dog helps a lot). so im starting to get those 30+ kill tdm matches on a more regular basis
my only real gripes as of now are the occasional spawn kill loops you get in, wanting more strong kill streaks, and missing all the replay channel type shit from blops.
I run Hardline in every COD, for a few reasons.
1, is because I run low Killstreaks(my usual is UAV/Care Package/Sentry, changed to UAV/Care Package/Guardian in BO2) which I find to be more fun for their passive benefits and easy access, and care package is broken as shit, well it used to be until this game.
Now I have it for the just about guaranteed-on-every-life SATCOM, and to make getting to doge easier.
Still salty that the care package isn’t a killstreak anymore though, but I do like this new way of getting them, wish we had both.
Lightweight, marathon, and sleight of hand are also on a lot of my classes.
Something amazing.
Looks like that “Fog” map in the DLC ad.
I wonder if the axe is some kind of interactble weapon you can pick up, an actual weapon you can use in the “special” slot, or if there is just some kind of serial killer NPC.
Besides all of that, that map looks fucking awesome, I love it when COD has maps that actually do something new and interesting, visually.
Like Tornado in MW3, which I still think is one of the coolest looking maps in COD, or Nuketown/Nuketown 2025, Studio, Stonehaven, Hazard, and most BO1 maps.
Bayview looks promising as well, looks to be a dock area, and hopefully the lighthouse can be entered as a vantage point.
I’m whelmed by Myers being in CoD, but everything else looks ok tho.
I’d probably like ghosts more if I could get ground war back but I am not forking over the few hundred at this time for a new console. Sucks to know took this long to get scrapyard back.
There’s no real one perk I could live or not live without. I use everything. That fog map looks cool though.
Went online. Rage quit. Then I discovered how easy it is to get squad points via Squads mode. It’s fun teaming up with people against stupid bots. I’ll get the guns and equipment I need and I’ll jump back online when I’m ready.
The Michael Myers thing is kinda cool until you realize he was the back up plan. That Map is obviously trying to be Camp Crystal Lake. My guess is they were arrogant as fuck thinking they could get Jason licensed in time but had to settle with Michael Myers last minute.
I was on blops last night. I was 20+ with 1 death at this time, 3rd vsat then this happens!

WaW>MW1>MW2>Ghosts>MW3>Blackops2>Blackops1
Personally
BO2 > BO1 > MW2 (equal to or greater than) Ghosts (equal to or less than)MW3.
Didn’t play enough MW1 to be able to list it anywhere.
Never played WaW multiplayer.
MW1 > BO2 > BO1 > The MW2 Rangers Spawn theme song > MW2 > finding your pet dog dead > MW3.
It’s so obvious, guys.
I’m guessing “finding your pet dog dead” is ghosts?
Finding your pet dog dead is finding your pet dog dead. I haven’t played ghosts enough to rank it. Never really cared to.
Ghosts is better than MW3. It’s rivaling BO1 right now.
But I had fun with BO1
