Why did they change netcode away from the greatest game ever?
I jumped back on yesterday from a week off and it looks like my friends have destroyed my K/D, setups, and I found some obscene created emblems. nice
Cod4, WAW and MW2 all used the same netcode and for the most part they all run well. Everything after MW2 they changed the netcode and its been terrible. It has everything to do with the fact that MW2 they started the whole leveling the playing field bullshit.
Never said I agree with it just throwing it out there. In a way everyone is to blame if we really think about it.
-Devs being lazy to update stuff as needed.
-Too much crap to funnel through an old engine on ancient technology.
-Trying to please everyone and maintaining fairness by going about it the wrong way.
-Players having shitty connection that they feel they need to let play hence this current netcode.
-Because of said shit connections and bitching from them, having to change it so there’s no host dictates lag but we see what happened there.
-Either devs or publisher (probably publisher) not forking over money to really support game as needed which I call Micheal Eisner Syndrome.
-Pressures of time to meet deadlines
-Forcing control over paid DLC hence a goodbye to dedicated servers on PC
-the infamous lawsuit between Activision and the OG guys behind IW and CoD
I could go on but what’s done is done. BO2 still has time to get better. I’m still going to play but this will be my last CoD game. I can’t see myself play another anymore.

I play Domination and Hardpoint.
One Warthog was on Standoff and the other was on Overflow. I thought it was going to be a crappy Airstrike but holy shit:

I still get killed in ridiculous ways in Domination. I’ve stayed away from it unless playing with a team. It’s stupid hard to cap points in that mode for some reason.
Warthog is more scary than someone killing you from behind; while you have on headphones!

Thank u jae for posting about the idiotic anti camping campaign they have going. It’s the only thing killing the game for me. The nerf to footsteps and ghost are plain ridiculous. They totally eliminated a play style and pretty much turned the game into halo. Smg’s are way too good, no recoil with really good range. Very little reason to use ar’s on most maps because of the no camping kick. I play mostly domination, and the changes really hurt my play style especially since I’m usually on the losing team and the only way for me to mount a come back is to stay off radar and cap flags while my team dies around me.
I actually like how this CoD is not ruled by Assault Rifles.
SMG’s only seem god-like cause of the maps.
So I find out today that motherfuckers cant record shit on that new COD game because of some bullshit hack or whatever. Is this true? Why didnt ya’ll tell my ass that when I asked for video the first time? I know why, cuz ya’ll some bustas.
Since I cant get none of ya’ll bustas to hook me up I think I’ll reinstall CoD4 and see if I can bust a few shotgun kills. Probably overrun with hackers though.

You will never eliminate camping, it is just a tried and true play style since FPS have existed. What they should be worried about is making the best game they can and not worrying about are people camping. BO2 would be possibly a very good FPS if they would have just done that. Cod4, WAW and MW2 you could camp yes, but after you learned how to play those games. You learned how to deal with it and how to get around it and the meta game started. Especially someone like me who made my name in COD from sniping in COD4. The meta game against good players would become them trying to get me out of my camping spot and me trying to trick them into bad situations once I knew they were around me. Since after MW2 that has become almost impossible,
Cod 4 was not ruled by AR, people forget the MP5, P90, M60, RPD etc etc were extremely good guns.
WaW was ruled by SMGs
MW2 was ruled by a SMG being the UMP, outside UMP you can kill with damn near anything.
BO was ruled by AN AR the Famas but the rest were not OP, lets not forget a SMG was the second best gun in that game
MW3 was ruled by SMGs
BO2 so far is ruled by SMGs

You would be wrong, MP5 was mad underrated and beat out any AR in its close range capability. P90 was still good in MW2 it just had low damage. Nothing needs to be said about the UMP. Hell the worst gun in MW2 was an AR. AR lost to SMGs, shotguns, almost all fully auto or burst fire secondaries and magnums up close for free.

No offense Akimbo but you are looking at revisionist history in this one. The actual truth says that Cod since 4 has been alot more of a SMG dominated series then a AR dominated series.
