Played one game and everyone quit, so I played one more just to get custom classes. Went positive on both so I still got it at least somewhat. SMG’s ridiculously good.

My god they need to fix that netcode, that shit is horrendous.
Try earching for “best” connection if you haven’t changed it already.
Does not matter, the netcode for the game is just bad. Mainly the lag compensation.
You just see dudes walking through hails of bullets like nothing happened then one shotting 3 guys. Happened to us all night.
even with “Best” I still get terrible example of gunfights where I shoot and get the first hitmarker and still die.
Worst cases being shooting someone from behind and still losing.
I must be one of the lucky ones, I have few lag issues online, even with my shitty AT&T connection. lol
actually it does make a big difference because best connection while takes longer will pair you with a match but will give you a much better setup with more solid/fast connections. Since going with best, I almost never get bad connections anymore unless it’s a player blatantly lag switching.
I did wonder why is this still happening and well it makes sense after looking into it. Since MW2 people have used host to take advantage of better connections hence why since BO1, they used a system of averages (why we see lag compensation) to make it more fair for everyone. Lag compensation has existed for a long time but really CoD moreso because of the rise in popularity of the games and the fact that since MW1, people could force host to give them the edge. In theory Lag compensation helps make it fair but reality is that it comes at the cost of punishing good connections with those that have shit connections. also the system it’s not the system that’s old or bad, it’s become much better and faster… rather just the people who have shitty connections now never improved their connection hence it appears their speed is more glaringly slow because the system is more efficient/faster.
I’ll still give Treyarch the benefit of the doubt and play because game is still fun…connections eventually got to acceptable levels in MW3. If they just tweak BO2, it can become solid.

yeah i dont know what it is that’s causing it, but updating that would go a long way to improving this game. when it’s on, it’s on, but when it’s not…probably gets me more pissed than any to date
wait, people are complaining about smgs in black ops2 and not on the ones in mw3? well at least the smgs in black ops 2 don’t shoot people from across the map with zero recoil like the mp7 in mw3, that gun was basically the acr in smg form.
