There are templates here on the forum (not quite sure where but the search can help with that) and you can visit the local Kinko’s or Office store to get a print. You can also go to Art’s Hobbies to get a really nice print with holes already cut (if you are trying to get a print for a popular stick from MadCatz or HORI).
Here’s a mockup of my SCV stick that I’m currently modding, inspired by the box design:
Right now, I plan on keeping the SCV bezel, hence the gray bezel in the mockup. I’ve also replaced red and blue translucent TE-S sides with full Smoke TE sides to closely match the body. I’m going with 4 Translucent red, and 4 translucent Violets, unlike the solids shown in the mockup. I might go all the way and get the PAS clear plungers, just to add to the translucent theme of this stick. For the stick, I’ve already got an aluminum balltop, shaft and washer, but may just go to a violet bubble top if the aluminum proves too overpowering.
As for the art itself,I decided to ditch the classic “Arcade Fightstick” font for the one used on the TTT2 TE-S+ stick (retaining the Soul Edition, of course!), and I’ve already got some ideas for the white space. I’m also going to add the control labels for both XBOx and PS3, since I will also be dual-modding this stick. I’m undecided on the layout, but if I decide to keep the SCV layout, I may also add the action labels, just like the stock art.
Right, take 2 on mine! Thanks for the feedback =]
I can add in the glow etc at a moments notice, as well as mock up new sticks in about 5 minutes. I spent way too much time setting up my PSD lol.
Still debating the glow on the Windrunner stick, currently its just shadow but only on the buttons and turbo thing. However, I’ve done another one that I’m extremely happy with!
Problem is: where can I find the 3 logos (Vewlix, EVO, and Street Fighter 20th Aniversary) in high resolution / good quality so I can put them on my template?
No luck on google, I only find tiny low quality jpegs, but nothing close to something I could use on a 300 DPI template.
I’m also interested in a clean high quality Ryu artwork, like the one in the picture.
I asked Art and am awaiting his answer, but I really wonder where he found such good quality logos (as we can see on the second pic).
Cerebella looks really small, looks like the entire character is gonna be about the size of your hand. If you’re willing to have a bit of the model covered you could move it and upsize it to get more of an effect.
Graymalkin: I chose the 20th Anniversary logo instead of the 25th only because I prefered the art, and I thought it was better looking in monochrome. No other reason
So, I finally found the 3 logos in high resolution. I wanted something simple, minimalist, and classy. My first drafts:
What do you think? Open to all criticism, always trying to improve it. If you have some nice bear pics in the same style as the one above (minimalist, simple lines, looks ok in monochrome), I’m also interested.
