It looks alright overall, it’s just that there are so many different art styles that seem to have issues blending together properly. Perhaps consider running a filter over the top of the characters at the bottom right, so that they have some uniformity?
I agree with rampage. To many art styles. I think if you could , you can find all 3d renders, well except tsubaki… but yea I like the colors though its vibrant! Umm maybe a filter or a texture/overlay over the whole art itself can make it all blend more
Love that vewlix design. So simple and clean.
I have to thank d3v for the cvs2 style temp, it’s so awesome!
Very nice, clean and simple.
Thanks! I was trying to mimic the Vewlix DIA, since this is going on a Chun-Li TE, but the straight lined Viewlix design is so tired at this point. This is a nice fresh twist on it.
Another Darkstalkers temp I made. What do you guys think. Even though im going for simplicity I feel like not enough stuff is going on especially near the buttons.

i like the concept you’re going with, you could make the mouth a little bigger and add more teeth
I’m really digging this concept too. A few more teeth, and Id add an outline to the Darkstalkers logo.
And maybe move “chibi-bish” over or resize it so the hair and katana aren’t cut off by the last button.
it’s cool how you’re able to capitalize on minimalistic art…i always feel that i have to fill the template so my background would have been something lame like this…

I feel that when people just slap a wallpaper behind a peice of badly cut out art it ends up pretty poor. I try to make something simple. I wrote a whole guide about it! CHECK IT OUT!! But now the decision is bishamon or my anarkaris which is on page 14 or on my guide.
Lol nice. That said, I’d love to see a Dr. Sub-Zero version.
Pro-tip: When you enlarge on photoshop ctrl+T=Transform! hold the shift key (while enlarging) to hold the resolution, but still enlarge the picture …
…The majority of you guys prolly already knew that lol
^ lol didn’t know that… geuss you can tell
Holding shift to maintain aspect ratio or shape is something that applies to a vast majority of the tools in not just Photoshop, but most other Adobe applications. Try holding down Option(Alt on Win) when transforming a shape to effect only one axis.
With that I’m stopping before this thread turns into a Photoshop 101 class…
Here’s my first attempt. Suggestions appreciated.

A couple things: 1) I almost feel like the figure needs some kind of texture on his robes to break up the large blank yellow area. 2) Is there a subtle way to make him looks less pasted on?
Also I still need to fix the faint white border around the wings/shadow.
YeaI dont know crap about crap when it comes to photoshop. I have no formal training, I never took any classes I taught myself. So ergo I dont know a whole bunch about photoshop
<— Taught himself with help from a few online tutorials.
I really like that background. Choose a different font and apply a more “typography” approach to your art since the quote seems to be the main focus in theme. Did you draw the wing creature? if not find another to match the feel of the back ground and if it is an original try to add some elements to your image that is happening in the background. hope that helps.
I don’t really understand what that means.
I did not draw him, however he’s specifically tied to the whole theme, so I can’t really get rid of him.
