Anyways, I’m currently planning on buying a SFXT Pro Stick very soon! From what I hear, the stick is pretty dang decent with Sanwa buttons and a good stick! Not to mention it’s also $100 on Amazon right now, and I’m a cheap sob.
However, the art on the stick really doesn’t look good to me. Sooo, I made my own bloody design using!
And yes, it’s Homestuck themed. Don’t judge me.
Anyways, yeah…It’s pretty freakin’ amateurish. Nothing really cool or rad, unlike some of the designs that I’ve seen on this thread! I mean, crap! You guys have some pretty wicked designs! But still, for a simplistic design I think it looks pretty good! Thoughts, comments? Maybe suggestions on how I can make it look better?
Ok, I’m no wizard like some of the people here, but I think the “Dirk Strider” text would work better on the bottom, like, going over his legs. The hat logo also looks wierd, but i can’t think of a better placement for it. And, lastly, it should be a Dave stick and not a Dirk one. Also, orange buttons and an orange ball top would make the stick look pretty good.
Alrighty. I went back to Photoshop, and I made some changes:
As you can see, I moved the name to the front of Dirk’s legs, I changed the font (The font I used was a Gunstar Heroes font), used a gradient, removed his hat symbol. And lastly, I put the button icons next to the corresponding holes on the 360 version of the stick.
I like it more this way honestly! And yeah, I think a set of black and orange buttons and stick would look great for the stick. But one step at a time of course! I gotta learn how to do all that kind of stuff! I also tried to make a Dave Strider design, didn’t work out as well as I thought it would. Couldn’t find a good picture of him to use that wasn’t him making out with Egbert.
This is my first template for the injustice stick (using corel paint shop pro, since i don’t have photoshop and would rather have the full program than a trial) any feedback or suggestions?
Back again!!! I made two more! First up, another Homestuck design! (Yes, I like it. Don’t judge me.)
As you can see, It’s design is based around John’s God Tier colors: Hues of blue with a slight tinge of yellow. Also find something surprising. As I keep making these designs, I learn how to use Photoshop better, and better.
Anyways, moving away from HS for a bit, here’s a Capcom inspired design:
I went with a design that’s reminiscent of most mid-90’s Capcom cabinet control panels. Y’know the ones. The ones that had the metallic textures and junk. I also kinda went with a SFII control panel design with the black bars around the buttons, with each button’s function.
The only complaint that I have is that I could have used a large font size to really fill in the black spots, but it still looks pretty good to me!
that Ryu silhouette looks like a normal/ bump map texture is that what you want to achieve?
if you want it to look like it is being stamped on metal, you should get rid of the color first
BTW you made mistake with button annotation on that metal stick art, RB should be LB
there should be some tool in your image editing software that do something with “saturation” in photoshop there is simple click to desature color into greyscale.
and then you can use layer effect emboss (or pillow emboss), make it negative and adjust the light source to be in line with the metal design, give it structure alittle bit from custom brush or metal texture stock photo set to overlay to that ryu silhouette, so it doesn’t look too smooth and actually look like metal

I kept going through different images and designs for Injustice…but then I thought about it and decided to go with something more generic to future proof it.
Don’t know if someone could or will help me with this.

If someone could point me out where can I find it I’ll be very appreciated, I’ve seen some arts with this background so, I think is kinda stock photo, but I only need the background without the lines and template.
