if you arent using imageshack, you’re doing it wrong. its so much better than everything else listed there isnt even room for debate.
none of the images ive ever uploaded there have died, and ive been using it for like a decade.
Hey guys, I know this might not be the right place to ask and if it isn’t I apologize, but the replace color on my Photoshop isn’t working right. Whenever I use it it gives me a really grey version of the color that I want (bright light blue comes out grey with a hint of blue) I looked around online for ways to fix this and couldn’t find any so I’m hoping one of you guys can help me out here.
I don’t think photobucket reduces the resolution of an uploaded picture. Never has happened to me. The only thing I don’t like about photobucket is the fact that you have a bandwidth limit other than that it’s good. I haven’t tried imageshack yet so I don’t know how that site works but from what you guys are saying, it sounds pretty good. And alsoalsoalso calm down.

see my video on the previous page and use the color select method to make a selection around what color you want. Set up a different layer and paint the selection and set the blending mode to overlay

Aiight so i had a few minutes yesterday so i started messing around with PS again. I really wish i could get more learning time in but whatevz. Also i’m slowly trying to get away from stealing D3Vs designs :P. Wanted to make a Jin/Kaz one for my VX SA (freshly Dual Modded with Chimp SMD 
thanks toodles) so here’s what I came up with…

If it looks a touch rushed… that’s because it is lol. There is A LOT of of jin and kaz art out there, so i’m having an issue selecting what I want to use. But in the meantime i thought i’d share and get some ideas. A couple of notes:
-The jin/kaz on the left are basic, stock jin/kaz pics. Very replacable. However, I used these two cause its hard to find pics of them standing on the same plane… plus, they fresh to death!
-The d. Jin/d.Kaz on the right is the full transormation. I wanted to show this, without it taking up too much space. I wanted to place them behind the border to keep them on a seperate plane than the normal jin/kaz.
-I used red/purple in the background because it matches jin’s gloves and Kaz’s shirt.
Any advice is appreciated!

First attempt. Image is Tim Sale’s from Dark Victory. I went with batman because I don’t have a particular main that I’m attached to, I love Batman, and this art is badass and fits my red/black theme nicely. The largest image I could find was 900x1350, so it’s stretched a bit, but I’m fairly sure it will work just fine.
I intend to have a red bat top, black plungers with red surround. Original red bezel from the red/black TEr2.
I like the minimalist look. Sale is amazing at using contrast so I think it works best as it is. I would be open to suggestions about making it busier effectively, such as my tag or some other text.
Originally I intended to get a custom layout (specifically this: http://i.imgur.com/rxQJk.png - first 6 TE buttons but spaced further away, two 24mm pushbuttons so I can still use LB and LT) but I’m not sure that it’s practical and I don’t know where I would get the metal panel and plexi cover made.
Owing to the simplicity or this design, and my noobiness, I’m really just looking for some advice, so any comments will be much appreciated.
Edit: I think I forgot to account for the dustcover… might need to resize. Damn. *fixed (I think)
Also, would it be worth taking the colour picker tool and just clean it up a bit? It looks a little rough at 100% and I reckon I could fix that.
my only suggestion is to use red rims and black plungers instead of the reverse.
also you can get a panel done here. dont ask me about any details on this though because i havent used custom panels myself.

The pushbuttons will be red rimmed, black buttons (I did say, maybe it’s unclear). Definitely looks better.
