Now don’t be like that. Luke is SUPER chill. I’m sure you’re a pretty cool guy irl just like almost everyone else in the community, but you have to admit that there is little to no credibility in vouching for one’s own character. Like if a car salesman told you to trust him because he’s cool and he’s never ripped anybody off or whatever without referring you to anybody at all, just on his word alone, would you trust him? When somebody tells me they’re cool, I get suspicious because: 1. I never said they weren’t and 2. It tells me they don’t have any friends to say it for them. I am not saying this is true of you, I’m just saying next time say “ask [insert friends name], he’ll tell you” or just don’t say anything.
Now I was the first one to call you on doing that and I apologize as I seem to have only added to the hate. I just couldn’t resist at the time. Anyway, yes he was mocking you, but he was only building on what I started so I’m sorry.
Please understand that this is SRK and if somebody has suggestions or criticisms about a tournament you are running, you will hear about them whether you want to or not. It is the way that you responded to these criticisms (while admittedly harsh) that has made you a target. You have to be VERY careful about the way you say “no marvel” or “no 3rd strike” around here. Not with the attitude of “if you can get 30 people to prove the game is still viable blah blah blah,” but more like “I would love to run Marvel, but [make up an excuse] maybe next time…” Gotta tread lightly and all that.
Finally, the fact that your blog is named after daigo, unless you are in fact daigo just screams fanboyism, and the recent join date doesn’t help your case at all.
I’m sure that you are a really cool guy, and that when we see you at tournaments we’ll get along swell, but I hope you can see from the above information how you might come off as an outsider that has no idea how this community works. I hope that I have only helped you and not made any more offense.
