The xander I know (west carrollton) doesn’t even play gg…
Then you don’t know the right Xander.
Is there ever a right Xander? I mean, really?
probably not.
Guys, I ran by the TvU venue today and the guy sounded like he really wanted to do something more regularly. Like weekly if possible. I don’t think we can agree to a weekly tournament where everyone will show up and pay money since everyone plays different games, and some of us aren’t even confident that we can win our main games, but I was just wondering if any of you guys had some ideas for what we could do with this. I guess the main concern of mine is to encourage maximum participation, and the main concern of his is to make money. Suggestions?
Bi-weeklys would be great, especially in the summer.
Move?
I would love to participate, but I feel bad for the dude who thinks there is worthwhile profit to be found.
The guy is a crook, trust me. I have considered it, but eh.
Quan, you’re still going right? I guess I got Jo too, although if he’s with his daughter I don’t know if he’ll be in town, so we have to figure something out. Jordyn, I’m assuming you’re going with Josh.
Either way, I’ll be leaving around 9:30 to get to the venue on time.
WTB Gamers near Hamilton/West Chester/Fairfield
Hey guys. This is the closest group I have found to our area. We have a pretty fierce sf4 group with a really good mix up of characters, looking for more players. We also dabble in guilty gear and Battle Fantasia, and are about to start MvC2. There are about 6 of us looking for more. We play quite often at my place in Fairfield. The closer gamers are there most every night, and the ones from further usually only come sat nights. I have my own place with a basement dedicated to gaming. If you have TVs and players, lets get something going. Most of us are more skilled players and as such we of course welcome highly skilled players. However, we would love for anyone to come play regardless of skill. If you are willing to learn and practice we will teach you.
I have another post in the Midwest thread as well, but I thought I would cover all my bases. Please someone get in touch with me.

We are -dying- for a MvC2 teacher.
If you are looking for a teacher in mvc2 you wont get it around Ohio. I’ve tried it. We can only teach you how to block. You and your homies coming to this tourney Saturday?
Schweikart: Yeah I’m still going.
You guys are coming to the tournament Saturday, right? RIGHT? It’s in West Chester. Perfect opportunity to meet new faces.
And Josh, really? He seemed alright to me, but I guess you’ve dealt with him more than I have. I at least think it’s cool that he’ll let us go over there for casuals for free. Game Junkie was always like “buy something or get out.”
Well…Chris Rose can teach you how to lose.
To Marrow.
Also we play at Wright State a fair amount. Almost every week. Just stay on these boards and check the threads every so often, we’ve gotten better about comminucating our plans to everyone so they can join in.
Chris can teach you marvel. Hell, I can teach you proper marvel, I just don’t have the time and that means I’d have to do things I swore off long ago. You’re about 10 years too late.
Voltron, bring your crew to the tourney this weekend. We’ll call it a meet and greet. Also, it’s better to get the humiliating “oh my god, we’re not as good as we thought” thing out of the way sooner than later and get you on the track to victory.
Matt, John’s all good and well, but he DOES want to charge you, trust me. If we’re there for magic, he says he’ll close down if we dont buy things then and there.
:shake: how do you know? :shake:
Quick question, is SF4 going to be ONLY on PS3? If so, I’m going to need to find a stick or a converter cause I’ll be using Fred’s Xbox360 stick on Saturday and if it’s only going to be on PS3 I might have some trouble x_x
If they were better, we’d know it. I’d know it. Plus, they’d have already found this site before and posted. It’s just the natural progression of these things.
There are going to be a lot of sticks there for both systems and as of now, it might be ON both systems for that very reason. There are going to be plenty of sticks and I have a stick for both regardless, so despite it being BYOC you’ll probably be covered.

Josh , is dead on about this. Im pretty sure lol
Good news everyone (Professor Farnsworth imitation) I got my Inpin converter today in the mail, fresh out tha box. So if you plan on using a PS2 stick I can cover you. I still don’t trust my T5 though, anyone got a stick for PS2 I could use? I’ve been waiting on the numerous shops to restock parts, but with all the SE baddies out there I think that’s gonna be awhile.
Yeah, my sanwas came in today as well AND my SRK hoodie should be in by saturday.
So I’ll try again…
Does anyone want to meet up this Friday at WSU? (I think Adam was the only one who definitely cannot come this Friday)
