that MM sounds inticing, i will play it the night before or after the tourney. Been practicing my time killers combos lately. Me n my bros (the taco bellamy bros) used to play MvC 1 on ddr mats. War Machine infintes are impossible. Yet i did get a perfect on maniac playing onslaughts theme. Those hyper grav freeze arrows are tough
Hey so where is Adam’s place anywho, and what time should we all meet up there? I guess I’m only bringing myself and Fred? If anyone needs a ride, hit me up.
Dude you were beat even without the bomb. You couldn’t even land a hit on her till you were about half-dead.
Josh, I was planning on midnight Dragon Ball, but nobody close is doing it and it really won’t be worth driving too far to see. As far as I know, closest places showing it tonight are piqua and newport.
Oh yeah, that get together at Adam’s is tomorrow night.
Adam, you said you’d pick me up. That still true, holmes?
Kam: I’ve been screwing around with SCIV. I think my main would be Kilik. I just don’t get when to use the :qcf: and :qcb: commands. I understand that there are pokes after them that you can do, and that I primarily use them for, but can’t you use them to guard impact? I don’t get the timing in SCIV at all for the purple/green guard impacting. The :qcb:,B move is so fast and guard breaks. :qcf:,A+B is generally too slow, but I do use it to fake people out, then cancel it with G. Gives me spacing.
You’d be on my way out there, so I can grab you at 5ish, Real QT.
Yeah, plan is I’ll drop by WSU at 5ish I guess, then head out to where you are. Although, I might not have rides home for people super late cause I might have to leave early. I have a Saturday class at 9:30 :[
Generally, Kilik’s QCF stance command themselves aren’t really too dependable, so I wouldn’t be able to actually tell you what exactly they GI because I never use them for those purposes. Not to mention, even if you land an auto GI with a QCF stance, the move you choose can still be blocked if guessed right. I don’t think there is no guaranteed hit for choosing a move after connecting a QCF Auto GI. (Correct if wrong)
QCF+A is a great move. Combo/Mixup/Mindgame options if you connect it (and it fuckin hurts). Not to mention, it has pretty good priority. There is sort of two ways to connect it fairly often:
1.) At max range: You may catch sidesteppers, which is good. With its priority, you might also catch a Counter Hit if the opponent tries to throw out a move.
2.) Close range (a little risky): You’ve basically just built a 50/50 guess situation between QCF+A or QCF+B. Getting QCF+A blocked at close range is…ok. You’ll be fairly safe, it is just that you can potentially give the offensive favor to your opponent.
Your GI timing may be right, but generally Auto GI’s only GI certain strikes. Some may only parry highs, mids, or lows and/or horizontal (A) or vertical (B) strikes. If you go for a joust GI (6+G), you only GI highs/mids. If you retreat GI (4+G), you only GI mids/lows.
QCB+B is…good. Use it for mind games. It’s not a bad option (of course you shouldn’t abuse it) to use because you may force people to hesitate and block it because they may be afraid of QCB+A. Blocking QCB+B of course guard breaks, giving you the advantage for a mind game/gimmick situation. The bad side of course is, if the opponent “pre-guesses” QCB+B before you do it, you will get sidestepped and punished for it because it does start up a little slow and it doesn’t track very well.
QCB+A+B…not really good. The (G) escape is good (you CAN ring yourself out, but he will bounce off of high walls, lol.), but the move itself kinda ignores mindgames possibilities because the move starts up slow and doesn’t track. It is generally very difficult to connect unblockable (!) moves against human opponents, with the exception of Hilde and maybe a few other characters (Raphael? Mitsurugi? Vader? Amy? Voldo? I’m probably missing a few others…)
…there are WAY more tips to Kilik, but I just wanted to answer your question Try here and that page of videos may give you a little more insight into more characters other than Kilik, so that you have an idea what you might be getting yourself into. lol.
Thank you Nicklix. I’ll PM my number and my red thong.
Also learn how to consistently get the 2 grabs from QCF. They have a smaller break window than regular grabs and therefore are alittle more difficult to escape. Alot of people will just duck to avoid getting Festival of the Damned into Asura dance but thats when you use 236A, 46B, 6AAA for like 50 damage or so. So it becomes a 50/50 of sorts. Shame on you Kam for not telling him that. Jeez.
I hardly ever use 236B. When I’m on point and my opponent uses it, I duck that move on reaction because Kilik jumps back before hand. Also, 214A and 214B can be GIed the same way(3G) so be careful but if you can get your opponent to block 214B you get 3Kb(K slide input B) for free. Or you can do 3B but that move is only really good in combos and on counter hit b/c it leaves you at a disadvantage on hit. Just my 20 cents.
And I just caught this…Kam…this is not SC2. 6G and 4G GI highs/mids and 3G and 1G GI mids/lows. The 4G and 1G Parry and leave your opponent on the floor, nothing is guaranteed though, I guess you just get a mixup. And 6G and 3G Repel the attack, giving you the opportunity to apply Post GI mixups. Also you can perform a Just Impact, or JI with 6G and 3G but you can’t with 4G and 1G. Another 20 cents. Misinformation FTL Kam, misinformation FTL…:shake:
