It’s just the amount of people that’ll be around, I don’t want to have to keep an eye on everybody. No offense to the Columbus players at all, it’s just gamers in general are messy, and I want to make sure my basement looks as if nothing ever happened to it. That being said, there’s only what…3 of them? I’m fine with that.
They can still come, but I think I’m gonna start it around 5-6, and have everyone leave somewhere in the afternoon on Sat. if they want.

There’s too much Millia and Chipp in there for me to learn her combos. Thats one of the main reasons. Between triple jumps and two air dashes…plus some charge partitioning would be required…
There’s a lot of crap going on you need to learn to play her, junk that I still haven’t learned to do in GG yet. Noel looks more basic, but I like her mixups and the timing of her combos better then Taokaka.
I’ll learn Taokaka EVENTUALLY. Like I’ll EVENTUALLY learn Jam, Millia, May, Baiken, Johnny Anji, Chipp and Bridget…
But it’s like when I first got into GG. Was gonna main Jam, but loved all the ABA stuff I saw. I’m gonna skip the week of trying to force myself to learn Taokaka, and jump right into playing/learning Noel…
Oh yeah that reminds me. I was going to teach you how to jump install.
- Pick Anji
- do S, S, but hit up in between the two slashes. Then superjump cancel the second S.
- If you did it right, you should be able to jump again even though you superjumped. This should work for anyone that has both a jump cancelable close S and far S, but there are only a few characters that actually use it for combos.
So basically all you have to do is hit up after a jump cancelable move, but then do another grounded attack before the jump comes out. Then, if you do a grounded special that puts you in the air, you should be able to jump or air dash when you roman cancel it. Or, as in the example, you’ll be able to jump again after a super jump.
Try it.
Also, charging is not hard in Guilty Gear. With May, you can do standing S, standing HS, and then start charging down immediately, then hit up and S as soon as the HS actually hits for a dolphin. Because of the ridiculous input buffering, you can press HS way before it actually comes out, giving you time to charge the dolphin.

Also, EVERYONE try and bring 1 TV and 1 console. If you’re coming in groups 1 per car should be fine. I’m serious though I’ve got like 13 outlets downstairs, + power strips. PS2’s, 3’s, Xbox’s, whatever you want to play bring. There will be plenty of set ups. I’ve got 2 TV’s I can use downstairs, although it can lag if there’s no HDMI cables.
Speaking of, could someone bring said cables? If so we’d have some crisp SF4 being played.
I can bring my ps2 with some games and Xbox so we can play Halo 2.
I can bring a Wii and a TV and I can also give rides if people need them.

Just tried it with Anji, and that’s really really cool and I can now maybe start grasping how some of his combos work.
Am I assbackwards though in that I can’t do that charge combo for the life of me? I’m gonna need to see the timing there I think…cause I’ve never been even decent with a charge char…
