ok thanks i’ll work on the run / command run mix-up… it’s just kinda scary cause hcf.C is so unsafe on block… so i try to refrain from just throwing it out…

and that’s what i was talking about… unless u do cr.C fairly close nothing combos off of it but hcfx2.D… so if u see a bait situation where u r near the tip range of it and u think u will score a hit u could do it… cause people won’t really expect to eat something like that from clark from that range… u will have to know ur opponent fairly well to attempt the gamble though i guess…

also maybe give #5 a try and see how it performs?

Also after some more experimenting and coming up with backups…I am firmly convinced that as Leader Kim is S+.

His Leader is more versatile that Kulas for one sole reason:

-It comboes in the corner after a CD/E Counter.

That’s right that is something I have discovered and I will illustrate it in these next matches.

So as I’m experimenting with Kim Leader I’m also using Clark and a backup. So for you people always WHINING about me using Kula-Gato-Duo Lon (L) all the time…STFU. :tdown:

So US Tier List for S+ looks like:

EX Kyo, Gato, Kula, Oswald, Duo Lon (Leader) 2p Duck King, Kim (Leader)

S-:
Kyo, Eiji,Kim, Duck King

Now since we are talking analyzing matches like Emil, these are very solid Japanese players. Don’t look unbeatable and I don’t see “Superior Yomi.”

I think we can actually hang with them quite well, but doesn’t mean I don’t respect them. I just ain’t gonna worship them because they are Japanese players either. :tdown:

Yeah at the max range yeah they don’t work, but you gotta be close for those to work.

By itself it’s not enough to make Kim S+,

But in combination with the fact that-

-You cannot jump vs. Kim with Leader
-Any sweep=LDM
-CD/E Counter=LDM.

Compare that to Kula’s LDM:
-You cannot Jump vs. Kula w/ Leader
-Any sweep=LDM

So sure Kula is top tier by herself, and Kim is S- by himself at his max potential, so with that extra danger of the LDM it puts him at S+…because he has more ways to get into his LDM than even Kula, when they are basically the same type of LDM. Now compare that to Kyo Leader and I don’t see enough with Kyo Leader to move him above S-. It’s not even close to the same effect it does with Kim.

Now I also have Kim Leader towards the end, because I feel the rest including Duo Lon Leader are more dangerous than he is.

Imagine how scary Kim Leader would be with 4 bars…

hey Kula can combo into both qcfx2.E + DC into qcbx2.E possible and qcbx2.E from a mid screen counter hit s.E… and in the corner she can do counter hit s.E, qcb.B, f.B, s.A, LDM… and also counter hit hop E into LDM …and Kim can do the same but she does more damage than him and for the corner one she has a lot more time than kim to hit confirm… and i don’t know if kim’s LDM is safe on block… if not than kula is much more safer for this combo between them…

i still think kula has way more options than kim to connect her LDM… she can do it from a counter hit qcb.C or f.A… either ice breath in the corner… and even her non-practical stupid looking fireball… and i think even an anti-hop s.A if it’s high enough… where kim has to pretty much land a combo in order to connect it… unless u count in the 3 points u put up for him plus qcfx2.B… the only place where kim beats her i feel is that he can hit confirm into his LDM from a cr.B where kula has to use a dream cancel in order to combo into LDM from a cr.B…

and to ANYONE i say it like that because no one does …except poongko …lol that has a VERY solid Iori and wants to use him as Leader, please put kula in ur team… because yes his LDM sucks by itself and u can’t combo into without a DC which btw does crap damage due to damage scaling… but thanks to kula, she’ll let u combo into it anytime and anywhere on screen after w/e combo starter into qcb.B, f.D for near to NO damage scaling… thus u get like 70% ish off if kula connects with a combo… i don’t know what tier Iori is in XI but i feel that him as leader with kula in ur team should atleast be B+ if not somewhere in A… and i don’t know why barely anyone uses him… cause he still has like ALL his tools… plus qcfx2.A is a great anti-air and s.B, s.C link is really good… only thing is his rekka damage is very low but for some reason i feel that he is faster than previous versions…

Yes Kula does more damage I agree with you and she does have some options as well. So yeah you got got points on that, so you don’t feel even with all of that that putting Kim as Leader warrants him border top tier? I say border top tier because he’s probably along the end of it…with a Kula esque type of LDM.

Also what I mean by you can’t jump vs. Kim with Leader:

1. St.a as aaxxLDM=free
2. St.b as aaxxLDM=free
3. HH b as aaxxLDM=free

Iori technically is ranked as C, but I believe at his maximum potential he’s not C, he’s more like B Class, and I agree completely his speed is buffed up, but the damage reduction is what puts him down.

Also you don’t think 2p Duck King is S+? He gains more frame advantage on his normals which means he’s very very hard to interrupt and an expert 2p Duck King can cause serious problems if you don’t really know when to block and when to roll/attack.

And about Kim, hence I have him at the end for S+, as in borderline in regards to when he’s Leader, thus I feel he could either be at the bottom of S+, or at the top of S- if he’s Leader, he’s like Kazuki in Sam Sho Tenka, fluctuates between S tier and A constantly.

what r some good strats with her DG? never seen anyone use her… so kinda lost with her… her flying stuff can get pretty tricky but also tricky to utilize properly… but her ground game feels very solid… but i don’t know what’s safe and what isn’t… so can anyone help me out?

I’ll tell you what, when I put on my “Mad Scientist Hat” tomorrow at the DFW tournament, I’ll play with Mai in KOFXI casuals for you. Question however, have you played with her in NGBC? If you have you’d have a better idea how she works.

no i never played ngbc… so no idea… but too bad her aa dm doesn’t work that well… like it will beat jumps but won’t beat hop moves that well… i mainly wanted to know her whole air game… cause that vega type stance she has is very annoying specially if shes leader then it’s just scary…
