No, that is a baseless rumour. Kasumi Kenshiro was Ryuken’s older brother (he was an adult when Ryuken was still a child), it’s impossible for him to be Kohryuu. Besides, Kasumi Kenshiro was both strong and cool, no way in hell he would lose to Raoh, especially not in that pathetic way!

QMZ is my hero now.
EDIT: Dammit tianyuan already showed it…=/
Wow, QMZ’s got some Jagi combo’s I’ve never seen before. Good stuff.
That Jagi player is good, no mistake. However, the fact that the Kenshiro player totally sucked also helped QMZ win. But yeah, low-tier ownage is always good to see. God knows we’ve seen enough Toki-Rei-Raoh crap already!
Lol! You do know that the vid you linked is from Tianyuan’s youtube account, no?
Yeah…I forgot that I was subscribed to him on my YT account and I watched teh vids and was like HOLY SHITZ. Then I look up and realized he had already posted em…-_-
That Jagi player was tops!
I’m glad that Low-tier characters shouldn’t be ignored!
^ Basically. :wgrin:
I haven’t gotten that far with either the manga or the anime of Souten no Ken, but I would find it hard to believe that Kasumi Kenshiro was ever Koryuu. Besides, why would he need to fight Ramon/Ryuken for the right to be successor, when he already WAS the successor?
Not only is it a baseless rumor, it’s a baseless rumor that’s got no real valid claims about it. If En-oh did go out, I’m sure he probably died in a bad-ass fashion before HnK Ken was even a twinkle in some one’s eye.

So I did it, here is my Comprehensive Shin Player Guide:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/coinop/arcade/file/928547/47402
Errr… it’s 50 pages long:sweat:
Even you don’t play Shin, make sure you read General and Versus section to catch up anything you might missed. This will keep ya all busy until the PS2 port comes out
I am going to play Hokuto no Ken in Chinatown today to celebrate this:wgrin:
“Nanbonme ni shinu ka na? Shine!”
Edit: I don’t think my Jagi can beat the Rei QMZ fought anytime soon:

Damn, that dude’s combo didn’t miss once! But QMZ’s footsie and mindread are much better:)
Excellent stuff as usual, TY. You did make a tiny mistake in the FAQ, though! Version 1 should be dated “199X” instead of “19XX” :wgrin:
So storyline wise Fist of the blue Sky comes before Fist of the North Star?
Thanx:lovin:
I will edit it later!
im going to be importing this game i have the slim ps2 what am i going to need to play it?
If you have a US region PS2 you need to mod your PS2 and buy a Swap Magic/Disc DVD. You can google the information you need to get you started. I won’t post direct links for obvious reasons.
Shin’s such a sad character…=(
BTW I like how QMZ chains a hard strike after a knockback or his “Nanto” move lol.
2 weeks left…until people actually talk about the game. =)
Interesting, I never heard about that before but the premise sounds really interesting. Thanks for bringing it up.
Yeah.I think its a spin-off or something.I saw it before, but I never actually thought about reading the manga or watching the anime(If there is one).
It’s somewhat of a prequel. The main hero (Kasumi Kenshiro) is the older brother of Kasumi Ramon (AKA master Ryuken from HnK) and the great uncle (or something like that) of HnK’s Kenshiro.
And there is an anime based on the Souten no Ken manga. It started airing in Japan a few months ago or so.
Yeah!!
Everyone here better start getting into the game!!
I already know combos and I haven’t even played it yet. I’m so emo already.
