Well, like 4r5 states, he does start throwing around some “toki” (means “aura” in this case) by the latter half of the original HnK series. Tenha Kassatsu (sp)? was first employed in his fight against Souther, and then there was other generic “air blast” stuff too. Overall though, Raoh was definitely more of the “projectile spammer” of the three brothers (not including the black sheep, Jagi).
Of course, by HnK2, you’ll get to see Ken and pals doing even more crazy stuff with projectiles. Never getting too ridiculous, but it was interesting nonetheless…
Ken has the very 1st Shinkuu Hadoken back in the day LOL. Raoh did spam his toki aura quite a bit(When he first fights Ken/Rei) Toki did have a ground fireball IIRC. I remember Kohryuu shooting off a blast of ki at a wall when he fought Raoh.
I’ve seen an HnK2 clip where Kaio is shooting beams n shit at Sachi. :looney:
Definitely. If some of the old crappy HnK fighters for the SNES were able to include Shuu and Jyuza and make them interesting characters, SURELY Arc Systems can at least do something similar, if not much better.
And I do have to agree some what with the notion that Ryuuga is a bit too much like Rei, at least, circa his anime/manga rendition. So he ends up taking chunks out of his foes instead of slicing them into cutlets, he still does a lot of the same basic stuff. ASW would have to be much more imaginative with him to make him a much more distinctive personality.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d like to see him too (imagine if he and Jyuuza could have a special intro! :wgrin: ) , but I would straight balk at the idea of turning him into some sort of Sub Zero rip-off, or what have you. I understand that you gotta take some liberties in order to make a workable fighting game character, but that would just be shameful, in my opinion.
