The New Fist of the Star/Hokuto no Ken thread

For the combo into FKO with Heart, Mamuuuut explained it a while ago on a french forum, it’s one normal into Big Typhoon (it hurts 236C) instantly canceled by 236CD for FKO.

Good stuff, thanks alot.

Does that have to be VS super armor at all or can it just combo any time in Iteyo mode?

Souther can do this:

Finally Souther finds a 100%, now someone’s just gotta tell how to do it.

took the text out of my mind er…
words outta my mouth.

That should have been obvious… :wonder:

The problem is the setup, not the 2B part. You have to hit them a LOT to get them to be able to bounce like that, and Souther doesn’t typically have very long combos.

Holy… That combo vid () I just posted is just a sample.

Eh?

double !!!

So you’re going to be able to buy this dvd? at least in japan?

I believe this is the bonus DVD that comes with the PS2 game (at least I hope it is!).

Updates:

Toki - Throw combo 100%, debounce glitch combo 100% x2

Jagi - ???

So seeing as nearly every bug is in the DVD, do you think that’s a good hint at saying the PS2 version is arcade perfect?

Im praying that it is, thats what half of the fun was about the arcade.

I also prefer it to be arcade perfect. My logic may sound strange, but I consider the release of an arcade perfect version to be a much better indicator of the possibility of a sequel. In my opinion, it would not make sense to waste time and effort to fix the ton of glitches in this game, only to start working on a new version a bit later.

That, or I’m just delirious from pulling an all-nighter!

I hope they fix the bugs, or at least offer an arcade perfect and a debugged mode.

The infinites were obviously unintentional- I can’t imagine investing 500 hours worth of work into a product, and then having to watch my own mistakes waved in front of my face on youtube. Even worse, to see the bugs and KNOW what I did wrong, and yet not be able to do anything about it. It’d be like watching footage of the motorcycle wreck that took my legs.

I’d freaking jump on the opportunity to correct those mistakes.

I can’t wait for the game to hit PS2, I need my HNK fix daily

I can’t believe they would release a game and package it with a dvd showing how bug ridden and broken it is. I’m thinking it’s an unofficial dvd. There are quite a few availible in japan (for other games).

I would hope so too.

After all, ASW has a rather interesting history when it comes to their games. If they really didn’t care and just made sure that everything was a straight port 100% of the time, or just “ported it and forget it”, chances are that the likes of GGX 1.5 wouldn’t exist, nor would the whole “Red Reload/Blue Reload” issue have ever come to light.

Besides, if it may indeed be quite a while until a new HnK game does come out, this PS2 release may have to hold us over longer than some may want. In that light, an “Original” and “Arranged” mode would just be good for the sake of pleasing as many players alone. Plus, it would just be a good way for them to “keep up with the competition” in their own way. If SNKP and Ecole/French Bread can do something like this, why can’t they…?
