really good clean stuff!

Ah, FINALLY. It’s done.
Ever since Roll’s return to the fighting arena in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, I’ve always wanted to do some tribute art for her. Doubly more so that she now has her own set of moves and is a force to be reckoned with in that game (SCREW Karas and his oversized butter knife.)
I tried a little something with the background (seeing as how I should really do more of those), rendering a bridge and a meadow in the distance (you may recognise it as the meadow from an earlier piece of mine, ‘Not a Care in the World’.) It’s not much, but it’ll have to do.
Well, I hope you guys enjoy this one. I know I did.
Hey, it’s great, I really like it. When you were describing the background, I thought you were going to mention the china wooden bridge stage in TvC. Great stuff.
I would say, though, she looks maybe a little angrier than she appears, in TvC. But it’s still great. Good job.
So…since I can post other artwork up in here.

I think I should’ve mentioned that I’m working on a comic (which is due November 2009), and Geargirl here is one of my main characters. I completed this sketch just a few hours ago, just needs a background now.
Ah. Thought this thread vanished on me.

Roll, tu-ran-su-FORM!
God damn…
You have an excellent gallery on DA too, Watched.
I actually prefer the line art to the colored art. I think a more vibrant “painted” style would do your linework more justice.
Thanks, dude. =)
You think so, eh?
I’ve been fooling around with a few mediums, and I’ve actually been considering using acrylics for some pieces in the future. Do you by chance have an example of the ‘painted’ style you’re talking about? You have me intrigued.
Also, just so this post isn’t a bunch of boring yakkity-yak…

This is Crystal, a character design for my comic, riding a dolphin. Haven’t decided what to call the dolphin yet, alas.

Tried my hand at logo design as well. This is the faction symbol for the Shadow Guild, a ruthless criminal organisation.
Ah, I see.

Character sheets for Crystal and Commander Blaze. I tweaked both of their designs a bit to be less complicated…and because I had to draw these straight off my head because I hads me no reference. D’oh!

Crystal only wears that for special occassions now.

Genius. Crystal complained of back pains for a month.
Turtle and Wolverine look sharp.
I also like that toolbot
gear girls looks class
I’d like to show you guys what I’m coming up with so far comic-wise, but I don’t want to spoil anything. However, here’s something I unearthed from my old reference files:
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/5698/geargirlworklab.jpg
Basically, a shot of Geargirl at work. She’s an astute professional, but prefers to take on projects (particularly the big ones) personally, which is why she’s wearing her lab coat over her neatly pressed business suit. She could
always let her team of workers assemble her products while she attends to other matters, but where would be the fun in that?
Hey good job, nice details, I really like ur style, its the kind of work that give me wish of draw something just by looking at it.
