Pieton : dont worry about it man. on the one hand I do understand TangoBlast’s point because some of what you posted could have been tested in the training room, but the whole point in the forums are for discussion. Personally I think its great that you dont mind asking questions, thats what the forum is for.
I’m gonna add something to this.
IF you are low on health and Guile is not really holding a charge but is more aggressive and trying to kill you, he might go for this target combo, or in the heat of a battle it might catch you off guard, so, IF you don’t have life to take the damage you have to block it, but if you do have life to take the mp overhead damage, its not too much of a problem because he can’t combo off of it. If you mess up the blocking you might eat a sweep or another low attack since low -> high -> low mix up is pretty strong.
I don’t know, this is probably obvious and I’m a dumbass for posting, but yeah…whatever.
Thats too bad you take it the wrong way.Lets see if I can help you not use training mode to find answers. Lets try it the other way and see what kind of discussion we could get out of the type of questions you are asking(easily figured out in training mode thru trial and error)
1:Can you punish Guile target combo ( that hit low than overhead) in between or on block ?
Hmmn…lets see. We know that Ryu has the fastest special move in the game w/ a 3 frame dp which is invincible to attacks and throws. I wonder what would happen if you try to do it in between guile’s crMK and overhead. Based on past testing I have done in training mode, my answer would be… yes the target combo can be punished. But you are not looking for yes and no answer so lets discuss
2:-I usually just srk when he goes for his unsafe sweep ( or ultra) . Is it possible to land a Focus crumple or Focus throw
it and land a bigger combo ? and if so what kind of range and what conditions are necessery
I remember I tested this in training mode but I dont remember the answer(I think its no, maybe if you counter hit) I could test it again but lets see if some else already has a yes or no answer so we can discuss it.
3:Is it possible to jump reaction over a boom and land a combo or its just a guess ?
Hmmmn I dont know. I know that I cant do it on reaction so my answer will be no but Im open for discussion. Perhaps something along the lines “Yes you can” and " No you cant"
4:From up close do you have time to focus throw a boom and punish ? if so from what range. Or it it better to go for a counter hit Focus
When SSF4 first came out I tested this in training mode using Juri (against all the FB characters), who according to frame data has a faster fw dash than Ryu. I could not punish guile 99% of the time. My testing was done after the boom was cancelled into so maybe there is a difference off a raw boom. Versus Ryu, Juri can just barely punish so my guess would be a no for Guile but lets discuss this. If Im wrong well the range is probably the distance you get from dashing fw and and not whiff throw at maximum. I suppose you could try it outside that range and see if it still works for you?
5:About his ultra 2 : If he does from a certain range I know I can jump over it. What the best solution when I am a little further.
I remember trying to reverse ultra but it seem unreliable or Tatsu…
Anything you do should be based off of spacing and what state you are in(advantage, disadvantage, neutral) My guess would be its best to not do anything since wth are you going to hit Guile with from long range? Especially with the sound barrier being broken and causing a hurricane right in front of your face. Looking forward to discussion

If you keep missing it I guess you can call it normal. I mean usually when an attack is done from the wrong spacing it whiffs. It could be possible you are not using the best normal to cross up or your not paying attention when you are hitting the attack. Lets discuss.
Hopefully we will get some more advanced answers than my yes or no. Far be it from me to stymie discussion from your advanced questions

Lets start discussing. I dont doubt there is a lot to test but as far as I can tell I see only 5 things you are asking about at the moment all of wich can be answered in training mode. So how about you test those things now and when you wonder about some more stuff you can fire up training mode and test those as well when the time comes. By saving “us” time you mean save YOU the time. If you cant figure it out yourself or need confirmation, then ask away. If your just being lazy dont take it the wrong way when someone tells you to figure it out in training mode. According to you its a case of discussion rather than laziness, so discuss.

Pieton, dont get pissed. Most of this stuff can be tested in about 5 seconds. The answers are actually right on and funny too :). I doubt anyone is insulting you here, just that you can test all of these in about 5 minutes. Even the focus attack on sweep would only take about a minute or two.

I even worded my answer a certain way so that something was implied and it is right and wrong at the same time. But I’ll take a wild guess that he didnt even go into training mode to see if the answers were right or wrong. If he intended to have any discussion he would’ve done it by now.
