Not sure, been playing those games at home…anybody know?
CFE was not at GT as of Friday.
The CFE engine feels pretty stale for some reason. I suppose it was never meant to be the next big 2D game, it’s just another game from Capcom. I’ve considered trying to get my money back, but I will hold on to it for a little while and hope it gets better with time.
It irritated me that there are only 5 stages [7 if you count boss stage with pixelated floating pyramid in the center, and boss stage with pixelated floating pyramids in the center redux]. Some character and system changes just seemed arbitrary and not balance issue related (eg: no more Ryu hopkick/Ingrid can RC sans-invincibility which seems like a system change made as a playtesting afterthought). The wakeup times are very slow.
I wonder if Jam could get enough play at GT to justify importing it.
People would play it, just like they play SvC, despite its flaws. I wouldn’t start going back there just for CFJ though. I’ll wait for NGBC. Oh, sorry my cousin and I missed Friday.
Yeah, after having spent a little more time with CFE, capcom really needed more time to tweak the feel of the game. it plays closer to CVS1 than anything recent…seems like they just wanted to get something out there, maybe to get a lot of feedback for a sequel. Who knows.
The backgrounds are pretty grarly, cheap 246 board crap. But it’ll have to do until we get NeoGeo Battle Colloseum, Sammy vs. Capcom…etc.
edit I can’t believe people still play SvC…that game is hella garbage. And for the love of all things good in this world, somebody please convice SNK to use 6 buttons!
the only big disappoint with cfe for me is that there isnt enough characters.
It’s more of a coat rack now than a game. So many starving kids could have been fed with the money wasted on that game’s creation.
yeah neo geo colloseum looks real good right about now. cfj is crap i can’t play it no more, sammy vs capcom better come out fast or capcom is goin to die. .p.s. i think am goin back to playing svc, cuz it’s way better then cfj

If you diss SvC, you diss Terry’s zero-recovery buster wolf, the 
quotes “I can’t wait to go home and stick my RIGHT hand (the right one, not the left) in my wife’s ‘curry’ -Dhalsim”, as well as the clazy announcer. Chaos is a hilarious game made great by how bad it is. Granted, this is of course as long as you don’t take it too seriously.

Thanks, and as a curious question, is there any female competition in marvel up there? I have yet to hear of any females who are actual top tier in the game.
SvC is good to pass the time - something to fuck around with and not take seriously.
On another note, when I go to GT i usually spend most of my time at the ultracade machine playing SFII, cause i know no one else will come and kick my ass
