We would be playing in a lecture hall. It will not be like the plasma setups they used last time. It’ll be more like the black ghetto tvs w/ the vcr stands. Can’t complain, we got space (plenty at that) and unlimited play. There are also other guys playing CvS2/GGXX and other random games. I do agree a MIT tourney would not parallel the GT experience (what experience lol). I don’t see Brad around anymore, so getting the sticks/button fixed is not very possible : (

I’m down with MIT, but today Tim told me he knows the head tech guy @ GT and is going today to get his own stick fixed. He’s also going to get the guy to fix the GT sticks/buttons, so GT Friday is just as valid of an option now it seems. Whatever the majority wants, considering it’ll just be casual anyways.
Edit: If we don’t go to GT, who will beat on the Cable/BH/Cyke guy (not Jimmy, the FOB)??? =(

According to Tim, the left-side buttons were pseudo-fixed for about an hour, and then broke again (it’s probably more than there being bad connection, the clips are probably fucked). The guy is on vacation for 2 weeks, so we’ll just have to deal with it until then. They’re still supposedly better than before anyways…just don’t play Sentinaaaaaaal on the left side. 14 wins with Sakura/Strider/Tron tonight, and then no one wanted to play me =(. On a positive note, I got them to actually FIX the sticks/buttons and everything seems to be in working order (right side RH was messed, but I got them to fix that too).

Rules:
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - double elimination**, 2 out of 3, 3 out of 5 for winner’s finals, 3 out of 5 for loser’s finals, 4 out of 7 for grand finals.
All standard rules apply to MVC2 i.e. only Juggs glitch, no game breaking glitches, etc…
*Order switching only allowed first time you pick a team for switch trick. After that you CANNOT switch order until that team dies and you pick a new team.
** IF 7 or less people show up for the tournament, it will be a best of 3 round robin tournament. Everyone will play each other. Winner will be who ever has the most wins. If there is a tie between two players… a best out of seven playoff will take place between the two people that tied. Winner will take all the money unless the majority of participants have a problem with that.
