Just FYI for all the people heading to GT tomorrow for the tourney, I won’t be able to get to GT until around 7:30 or so because rush hour traffic on 128 and storrow owns me for free. I suspect we’ll start at 8 or so, assuming we have enough people at the time. Money matches should take place AFTER the tournament preferably (warm-ups and getting used to the sticks). Pot will be split 70/30 between first and second whether round-robin or brackets. Winner’s finals 3/5, Loser’s finals 3/5, Grand finals 4/7. Hope to see you all there.

Highlights:
-Finals were pretty damn good (best of 7). Danny takes the first game, pDizzle switches to SSCammy and beats Danny 3 straight. Danny gives in and picks team Combofiend and proceeds to win 3 straight bullshit games with random Ironman while his magneto does NOTHING.
-Nestor, Caddles, Pryde are no-shows. Basically the best in Boston weren’t actually IN the tournament.
-Roberto shows up, plays one game, then dissapears never to return again.
-That machine is SO broken on the left side. Not much I can do about that, sorry guys.
-No moneymatches because pDizzle and Delvis had to leave to catch the train after the tournament. Maybe next tournament.
-Good shit everyone, hope to see you guys in two weeks, when I’m planning to hold the next Commyless tournament.
For I had no idea the sticks were that bad, but it was still a good tournament. I mite go to the next one if enough people show up. And Delvis will win next time.

but again, i’m happy for ya, no matter the sticks or lack of comp, coming back 3-1 is pretty impressive even if it is random. hmmm, lolz, don’t know the next time i’ll actually check, but can you or someone post who beat who who lost to who. i’m esp curious who you lost to and p dizzle. delvis 0-3, what happened?!?!?!

You must have misunderstood me Commy-boy, I said I wouldn’t use IM until I actually felt like WINNING. Nothing beats me when Tony fucking Stark is unleashed. On the subject of Delvis, he was just messing around with all of us and will definitely take the next tourney for free. That kid is the four feet of pure passion .

Since we all know GT sticks are ass, I suggest that we should host the MvC2 tournies at MIT Fridays instead. They typically have a hall for a whole night. It’s more cost effective and we don’t have to play w/ broken sticks. Let me know if you guys are up for it and I’ll talk to the MIT peeps.

What’s the parking situation there? Not all of us, sadly, can easily access public transportation.

Could we guarantee two MAS sticks there JUST for Marvel? I know Roberto, Nestor, and Andrew (I think) have one each, but they don’t always go every Friday.
I’m definitely up for sessions there, but honestly, console tournaments aren’t nearly the same as arcade (shitty sticks or not) ones. Plus, I’m gua-ran-teed a win if it’s on console. Talk to them anyways I suppose, can’t hurt in asking.
The way I see it is that we need at least 6 people for a tourney. With 6 people, there have to be at least 2 players that have MAS (or compatible) sticks available. I’m planning to get a DC converter soon, that translates into a DC 360. GT cabinet is beyond messed up, (you can barely play Sentinel or chars that rely on kick supers). Again it’s up to you guys.
Edit: Parking situation, tons of meters on the street, should be off by 6, since it’s summer, there should be plenty of spaces.
