Where’d you get that gif?
I was recording today’s ep of Yu Yu Hakusho with my tv capture card, and they happened to show a dbgt commercial on the first commercial break…I opened the recorded file with Imageready, and the rest is history.
AHHHH MAN!
THATS SO COOL!
On the other hand…I missed yu yu hakusho:(
is imageready easy to use or what??? i wanna start seeing if i can do some animated tags/avatars
Bam Kick it up a notch!
Yes, some people can just run with it, some people need to practice…for about 15 minutes a day for 3 days, but it is very easy. And it helps if you have access to mpegs, or can make them yourself with a tv capture card. BTW, this program cannot do ANYTHING with .mov or .avi files.
just got it today . thanks to kyoji , and snowman too for his attempt …
so rate me … 5/10 or 6/10 ?
^ 5/10 doesn’t appeal to me
Warning: making and changing avs becomes addictive when you’re left at home while everyone else goes to the flea market…
good looking out with the advice and all…but how would u animate something like falling rain or snow in a avatar with imageready??? i mean the snow/rain wouldnt be coming from a mpeg so could u just create snow/rain with ps and then animate it with imageready?
Well, let’s see…whenever I have to animate an image, I open that image in Photoshop, add more layers by replicating the pic (It’s in the layers option), then changing each layer (such as adding rain or snowflakes falling in a descending motion, lower with each subsequent layer) to represent movement. When you’re done, do NOT save it as anything other an a psd (photoshop document), and do NOT flatten the image or merge the layers.
Open imageready and open the document in there. On the lower right side of the screen where it shows the layers, select a layer, and in the animation tab of the lower left side, click the duplicate tab (next to the little garbage bin). Go back to the layers display, un-higlight that layer, and highlight the next, and follow the same procedure. Once you have all the frames you want, and are sure they’re running at the ideal speed, go to “Save optimized as”, and save your work as a gif file, which you can then upload to a file hosting site.
