I’m confused how someone that looks like him is that hardcore a geek.
Who’s gonna make fun of him? Dude has women drooling over him to his face.
Im not surprised, almost everyone is a geek about something. Hes an actor so he’s automatically a theater geek.
I mean, Vin Diesel has played D&D since Jr. High and got his start doing toy commercials cause a long with D&D cartoons were a huge escape for him as a kid.
His D&D character he’s used since jr high was actually tattoo’ed on his character Xander Cage of the XXX series.
A lot of people who do comic book movies or shows end up researching their character so heavily they learn to embrace everything about the medium. Mahershala Ali Who was cotton mouth in Luke Cage is a great example. As is Margot Robbie.
If you seen old pics of Vin that doesn’t shock me he’s a geek. Nothing about him screamed sex symbol lol. His old breakdance scene still makes me laugh
I’m just saying. Just because you’re a celebrity or what people consider “attractive” doesn’t mean you can’t be a nerd.
Being a nerd/geek is socially acceptable these days, we used to get roasted for that shit. Now it’s the “cool” thing to be, Times have changed
These guys been nerds though, like this nigga superman is painting Warhammer figures lol. He’s deep in it
Just finished season 3 of Ozarks. God damn those last two episodes. Jonah is gonna snap come season 4 man. The Langmores are looking to rise up. Darlene is certified crazy. But god damn does she ride for her people. Have to respect that. Now I see how someone as crazy as her can inspire loyalty and command respect.
And the end of the season finale. I’m sure no one saw that common. Had to replay that scene a few times. Like whoa. The Byrdes are in too deep now. They should’ve took that plane to Australia. Their only salvation is to take down the cartel. Period.
I only see the Byrde children surviving the show at this point, and maybe Wendy. I forsee no “good” endings. Lol
You saying that reminds me of something that happened I wanna say around December of last or January of this. I was invited out to go drinking with a bunch of coworkers cause they wanted to celebrate a birthday and some of them were people I didn’t know. Most were spouses of some of the girls that were with us, some were friends of the friends I knew.
3 guys were off in their own world talking about Borderlands. They seemed like typical “bro gamers” but I was the closest one next to them outside of one of the dudes wife. They all kinda paused after about 30 minutes of talking and they asked if I played video games. I muttered yes cause I didn’t really know them and I fucking hate gearbox so I didn’t want to shit on their conversation and it was so random.
They asked me what I played, I mentioned the normal—platformers and RPG’s but I mentioned my true passion for video games stems from my time playing fighting games and my competitive nature in general comes from playing card games like magic, yugioh and Pokémon.
They asked me about them and I told them how I use to travel all over the country going to tournaments, been to evo 5 times, etc as well as all my accolades with TCG’s.
I expected very odd looks and them questioning The Who, what, when, where and why’s of me doing this. But they all more or less simultaneous went “that’s so fucking cool bro!” and they asked me what the communities for both were like, how I got into them, if I had ever met famous people in the communities, etc. so I got to nerd out about my FG and TCG” careers” for about an hour It was really surreal to me. Cause a lot of people don’t “get” why the FGC or the card game community exist and why we’re so passionate.
Also, apparently almost everyone had kinda stopped their conversations and were listening to me. Probably cause it was the first time a lot of them heard me be so loud, excited and happy since I’m generally fairly quite and reserved at work.
After I ranted a lot of people were more or less telling me: “wow, I know you said you travelled a lot because your dad was in the army but to travel that much for your hobbies is really cool and shows your passion towards something. Super jealous”
I was on cloud 9 pretty much the rest of the night. Outside of people who were already in the community or were trying to break into the community people never found that stuff interesting. So it was awkwardly satisfying to have people hang on my every word when talking about the two things I love more than pretty much anything else in the world.
FGC and TCG stuff are really the only things I really get super nostalgic for.
Space Force teaser…

Didn’t know that it was going to be the last season…
Neat…
They had me at “First Look at Charlize Theron”
yeah just on the name of the lovely Ms. Theron I’m already down for whatever this is. That woman is magical.
on another note—I guess “binging” a show just really isn’t my style; I’m perhaps old-fashioned with this sort of thing… or maybe it’s an admittedly short attention span, even when it’s a show/movie I like. I’ve still only seen the first episode of The Witcher, and I’ve been on the last episode of Vampires for a few weeks now…and I never finished those Marvel shows that will probably disappear from Netflix soon if they haven’t already. Typically after just 2 episodes of something… 3 at the most… I’m in the mood to do something else for a while.
If its an hour long show, I usually watch 2 episodes a night.
If its a half hour, 4 episodes a night.
The most Ive ever watched continuously was the last 6 episodes of Arrow Season 2.
IMO if you watch too many a time, the episodes kind blur together and you lose appreciation for certain ones.
Million, you should try and finish Punisher and Daredevil. Those were the best of the Marvel netflix shows and feel the most complete with definite endings.
Luke is good too, but ends on an unexpected twist.
a bit of blasphemy to some…but Daredevil as a character was just never that interesting to me in comics or anywhere else; on the upside that show does feature the lovely Debra Ann Woll though, so it at least had that going for it.
…this reminds me that it was a bit of a surprise that despite how “sensitive” our society has become in recent years about the gun issue, that Punisher still made it into Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 as a playable character I was thinking someone would’ve been “offended” by it and complained to someone but apparently not. (*probably more of the case that those likely to complain about such a thing simply are unaware of the game’s existence)
You should look into Frank Miller’s run as well as Kevin Smith’s (yes, that Kevin Smith) run. Both great reads.
Yea Kevin’s run was really good.
