You mean “telenovela”?
I mean it doesn’t have any more or less drama than any other anime, especially from the 80’s. I just thought it was awesome because it had charismatic characters, a plot which you could get behind (until they rehashed some plot points to death in later seasons) and a decent level of blood and gore which was amazing to me as a kid. I mean, the VERY FIRST EPISODE has a severed ear for fuck’s sake.
I believe people who were disappointed by CN’s botched release or by Netflix’s dismal new SS series will be satisfied with this one.
