Wu assassins is the avatar meets iron fist. It’s so cheesy I love it. And the action is good but annoying that everyone knows martial arts lol. Like theirs a fuckin Scottish gang that knows it lmfao

I don’t understand this criticism. You’re mad everyone in a martial arts show knows martial arts?

Not everyone should know it. Even in martial arts movies in general not every fucking person is an elite martial artist. Show me the Jackie Chan movies everyone knows it. It’s usually Jackie and the villain and maybe even a sub boss. The henchmen aren’t usually elite martial artists… They just outnumber Jackie with normal shit. It waters it down and puts themselves in a box in terms of creativity. When everyone can do it

The main hero and villain make sense. Even some of the triad henchmen make sense… The Scottish gang doesn’t… The undercover LA female cop having elite martial arts doesn’t. Not everyone needs to have it. It allows more variety of fighting styles and ingenuity to get themselves out of situations

Invader Zim trailer…

Just started watching it… like is so far. Is it too much to ask for that hong kong cinema classic martial arts stars guest star the wu assassins? I would love to see a a jackie chan, sammo, yuen, donnie yen, jet li, gordon etc cameo… a person can dream lol

Honestly I can’t see it getting past a season or two. I dunno i like it but I don’t see mainstream audiences digging it. Also I’ve seen literally only 2 posts on my feed about it and they weren’t from stunt or martial arts people

Dave Chappelle’s new stand up will be on Netflix on August 26th.

Canon Busters doesn’t look interesting to me at all, but I’ll give it a chance to show support.

It’s really dry imo. Watched 3 episodes and it was mad boring.

That is unfortunate.

Has Netflix released a date for Witcher 3? I don’t remember.

That’s the real unfortunate thing. They haven’t given a damn date yet for Witcher! I need that in my veins.

I think its either you dig it or dont. My feed so far Ive seen has been pretty much overly enthusiastic. I can’t te you if it’s just from a lack of animes that feel like cowboy bebop or Trigun or because of rhe merits of the show on its own. For me I’ve been following LeSean for a long time (2002).so I know his vibe and style so it’s Def a show that feeds what I wanted out of an indy project like this. And given time it’s only Gonna get better. It’s the first legit anime that I’m aware of that’s made by an American.

It’s looks alright. Just feels like a mish mash of 90’s and early 00’s anime, but doesn’t really light a spark of its own.

Only a few episodes in, so maybe it gets better. :man_shrugging:t4:

Which is prob a fair assessment since alot of my friends are late 20s early 30s who grew up being inspired by that Gen of anime

It plays on that nostalgia factor so hard. Kept feeling like wait have I seen this before? :joy:

Wish it was toned down a little and shined a bit of its own flair.

Is what it is. I’ll watch the rest for a more thorough breakdown.
