Iām quite content with the roster. Now my main worry is that this game might turn out brokenā¦
Iām not much of a NeoGeo fan, I just know chars from KOF and Fatal Fury. But who would you think is top and is good to play with in this game?
Roster looks great so far, but I canāt stand Genjuro (Iām neutral towards the Jin brothers).
And since theyāre so rivalry happy (what, with Kyo/Iori, Ryo/Robert, Terry/Geese, Hanzo/Fuuma, Kaede/Moriya, and now Haohmaru/Genjuro), I want to see Kula as well.
And yes, yet another cosign for Duck King.
Loving the roster as well, a Kā/Kaede/Ryo team is gonna definitely be on of my favorites. Also think itās awesome that World Heroes characters got in. Didnāt expect Kula though, cause even though they did a rival thing, Kā is not nor never was rivals with Kula, so they probably didnāt want to add her. Sheās more like āthat annoying ice kid that bugs him for candyā in his eyes.

The one thing that I like is the fact that this roster seems so varied and cool. Like with this game SNK did the opposite of what Capcom does, they put alot of cool and some obscure type characters in the game. Capcom will only put the popular characters in the game if itās the 1st of a series like CFJ.
Actually, that was the reason for her introduction (though Kās perception of her probably is equivalent to what you said); K9999, however, was later introduced as a means of replacing her as the rival of Kā (which was completely pointless, seeing as the NESTS saga was about to end), which didnāt work. The result: Kula technically being the rival but more of an antipode than anything else (since Kās appearance only seems to guarantee Maxima to show up), and K9999 left to rot.
Either way, Iām not getting my hopes up.

Just one thing to point out.
Theyāve already announced 30+ characters for this game. We have the main characters of FF, AoF, KoF, SS, WH and LB present. Weāve had a large number of surprises, many characters Iāve never heard of, and characters who donāt seem that important but made it in anyway.
In the midst of it all, Andy has not been announced. AGAIN. At this point, Iād claim that he is forever doomed to never appear in a non-KOF crossover. (Still, cheers to Robert for breaking his rut.)
Oh well the reason why Namco and Sammy-Sega are in Evo is because their communities have worked really hard for it to happen. While the VF4Evo community is really small, their players work hard to make it happen, same goes for the Guilty Gear crowd and Namco games, though Namco games are quite popular enough.
More stuff like FS.comās Revolution at this yearās EVO should happen if SNK/SNKP games are to be part of the excitement. But thatās still an uphill from the looks of it, that SNK tourney held by S-C.com at that convention only brought in like what 12-15 people? And only 8 played in the 2k3 portion of the tourney? Correct me if Iām wrong, I forget all the details.

Heās about as far from āfireball/uppercutā as you can get, yet heās not in and Moriya and Akari areā¦truly confusing.:sad: Duck King would be good too, better than the RB guys (nothing against their fighting styles, I just hated RB). But Kyoās in, and Rockās in, and Kaedeās in, so Iām good.
Oh yeah, and those new guys (Yuki and Ai) look pretty damn cool. Iāll probably play as both.

Iād personally prefer RB Kim to KOF Kim. Simply because of the utterly different sprite + moveset. RB Houou(with taunts at the end) > FF Houou > KOF Houou.
Angel would be nice - we really need different play styles, but i doubt anyone from KOF2001 will ever come back (SNKP seems really ashamed of Eoliths game).
I still have some hope for Duck.
Rosa is in a background and we already have one Kim. I also was hoping that Rosa would be in the game, but i think well end up with Hayateā¦ or (hopefully) Gordon to fill the ābig guyā spot. 
And almost all characters in Real Bout play better there than in KOF (Blue Mary being the exception).
