Yeah, Hotaru’s vids are so damn flashy I can’t stand watching them. They use so many random anime images and clips from other games, that they waste over half the damn vid length. It’s so stupid when you want to watch a KoF vid and you get 5 minutes of capcom games and random pretty anime girl pictures. Seriously WTF? :annoy:

KyoreX at least uses images that are somehow associated with the damn game.

I was thumbing through the SBO qualification list for NBC this morning and I was quite surprised by the results of who got in. There’s the Shiki/Shermie team, quite a few K’s (yay), and a lot less Marco/Mr. Big whorage than I thought there would be. Even a Mr. Karate got in there .However, one thing bothers me a little bit…what the hell is up will all the Neo Deo users? You’d think everyone would avoid him like the plauge because of his incredibly lousy defense, but perhaps the Japanese have found a way around this. I just expected people to choose King Lion over him, or even Mizuchi. :wasted:

I can tell you whats up with Neo Dio—sheer priority. If you get the jump on your opponent fast enough with him its over…bad thing about Dio is he takes WAYY TOO MUCH DAMAGE…like a bitch…

But the sheer priority alone makes Dio a risk…

Any idea what I can do about Mudman’s jumping dive rushdown with K`/Terry? Don’t seem to have any normals/specials fast enough to stuff it… so is it like fighting Big where I just have to block it until I guess him to try and throw or do something else?

My only other real plan is to just use the blowback to knock him off me.

If you can start up K’s Ein Trigger pressure early then it absolutely owns Mudman, not to mention the fact that if he starts trying to divekick and eats an Eins-Trigger-> D followup launch he’s going to eat Chain Drive super plus a followup jump C to QCB+D. As for Terry i’m not sure, prolly just jump-away D or well-timed Geyser to ground him then rush him down on the ground since Mudman has no ground game whatsoever with close C to canceled-Power Dunk, walk in throw, textboox Terry rushdown. The really problematic Mudman player, however, is the one that mixes up dive rushdown with well timed close C to super, or cr.lpx2 to slide then qcfxx2+k for overhead ball thingie, then continues diving. That I have no idea how to fight off ( because I use it, heh heh ).

Healing begins when point character goes into Auto Charge state…stops when DA is triggered hit or whiff

XTG- so essentially you are only healing your second character while the A.Charge bar is shown at the bottom of the screen? That’s handy to know, I guess.

Cricket- The problem is WHEN he gets on top of you. I can do the rushdown alright and the poking and such, but if Mudman gets on top of me there seems little to do. If he does one dive, the next dive is going to stuff anything I can throw out there. Geiser will either not hit or be too slow (I forgot which it was). You can’t even jump out and throw a quick poke AFAIK.

I’m wondering if Blackout has any kind of invincibility.

well…its like…go for the Double Assault to chip off your opponent’s recoverable lifebar or sit on it until own your partner heals back enough recoverable life for your own comfort should you need to tag out

The way I see K’ is he’s a block damage whore. If the opponent is too damn stupid to use the GCS you can keep doing his Qcf+a, f+D until it launches then you can DA afterward.

I don’t think anyone you need to worry about is going to be too stupid to use GCS. Baiting it out is a big part of the game plan.

G. Blood…try Terrys cr. C to stop the Dive kick…also try crack shoot…Eins Trigger will work too…not many other things can work though…I remember watching your JeRon-you final in NGBC…

Terry’s df C will trade with Mudman’s knee dive…Crack Shot…may or may not be in its active frames when Mudman comes down so i dont know for sure…

There are alot of things that trade with the dive but really its all about Hataru…
I cant stress how rediculous that character is! You want Big/Mudman answers, there ya go…She is it!

Hotaru can rush down to induce guard break pretty quickly…so he does have a point…
