It depends on how your asking. Here in the US, Japan or generally? Japan still plays both games but KOF XI seems to be more popular. Both are in SBO 4’s lineup so only time can tell whether they will prosper or wither out.
To my knowledge there have been no KOF or NGBC tournaments upheld in the US until this past Texas Showdown 6 where both games had decent turnouts for pretty new non-mainstream fighters. NGBC will be at the upcoming Final Round 9 as well so only time can tell how the game will do from now on? Yes KOF seems to be more popular at the moment and in my personal opinion alot of “japan fanboys” want to get into KOF here because of the obvious but NGBC is a good game and the player base for it comes from mostly hardcore/ sub hardcore snk gamers like myself. Still alive…yes Did XI kill it…No!
People still play it out here. The cabinets that they’re in are given little matinece tho.
Random Gameplay Question!
I’m going to do further investigation myself, but does anyone know if landing a Double Assault causes your inactive character to stop healing? I was playing Mudman / Asura today and landing a DA with Mudman. Asura had about 10% life left to heal, so I watched his lifebar, and didn’t really see it increase that much…if what I’m thinking is true then it adds more strategy as to when you should DA.

I was watching some old beta vids of NBC and I noticed something, the finishing explosion of Iori’s eight wine cups was its standard purple as opposed to the now orange explosion. Anyone know why they changed this, and why it’s even orange in the first place?!? :looney:
Hmm it’s 95% complete. I just need to get around 5 more combos done which will be around a week, then give it to KyoreX for editing which will take around 2 more weeks. Hopefully the vid will be finished before KOF MI 2 is out so I can start on that.

Yea glad this thread is alive indeed…and hoping for the sequel to be in production soon…it is a quality game yes it is!
I also hate RM but they seem to favor it. 
And if you think KyoreX’s editing is too fancy, you should see the AOFDB vids. They’ll make you blind. O_o
