So, beelze says the turtling from the first couple days is gone and the game is actually really crazy offensive (due to the need to keep tagging to manage your power bars, special charges and life bars), now that people know how to play the game. Both him and Iggy say the game is actually very balanced (well, they fucking had almost one year of lokes, after all). And GCFS isnt abusable or dumb at all (OMFG!!!1111one). They even managed to fix that.
Also, every “special” team (Kyo/Iori, Haoh/Genjuro, Yuki/Ai and so on) has a secret Double Assault, with unique animations.

Yeah. I dont remember if it was beelze or 8-1 that saw someone fight him… Think Ignitz with fire whips. Meeting the bosses require a fuckload of rules to be met.
In case you dont know, the 1P game is like this: survival style, one character dies, you lose the fight. After every fight you choose a bonus (more life, more time, and so on). Theres a timer, and when time stops you fight Mizuchi.
Each other boss has a set number of things you have to do:
- Number of adversaries defeated.
- Number of times you used the bonus.
- Number of continues.
- Number of Double Assaults.
- Ammount of life your team has left.
King Lion:
- 6
- 1
- 1
- up to four (?)
Neo-Dio:
- 6
- 2
- 0
- 5 or more
Goodman:
- 8
- 0
- 0
- 7 or more
- 50% or more
Neo-Dio, Mizuchi and Lion give you generic endings. Only Goodman gives you the real endings (i dont think anyone has beaten him yet, so we dont know if theyre only for the real teams or whatever… well probably have to wait for NGBCs mook to find out).

as you can read my opinion has changed quite a bit since i first laid hands on it after official release and now. flame/deride if you must. maybe a mod can even set me up with a cool quote that i cant change again!

I don’t know about the whole judging a game before it’s out, but there is a bit anti-SNK prejudice on SRK, but lately it seems to have died down a bit.
As for NGBC, it’s very flashy, decent presentation, tag feature which many like and the roster seems varied and solid. I’m just hoping that after 6 months of testing the game isn’t shoddy or broken. If the game is decent and tourney worthy then it should do real well, who knows maybe an entry into some major tournaments would help it quite a bit. Right now though it’s just too soon to tell, but after your reports it sounds like you’re having fun with it and usually you’re on the money with such things(at least in my opinion).
At least SNK is putting something new out there as another company just gave up. I remember people would always bash SNK by claiming how bankrupt they were and all that nonsense, yet who’s still making 2D fighters and who isn’t? Anyway this isn’t supposed to be bashing Capcom, but I’m hoping(foolishly I know) that they’re working on SF4. Until then maybe NGBC can be a good diversion or perhaps even it’s own franchise to get into.

where i was playing it (not in the city where i normally do) had heaps of ppl whoring shit which was spoiling the fun. the system is different too and took a while to get used to the feel of.
i gave my impressions becoz ppl were interested in any info on the game and i could only tell em how i felt nothing more.
