The MvC3 Hulk thread

Supposedly some of his attacks have super armor, although I don’t know which, but the flash hasn’t been programmed in yet. Or something.

Im glad they buffed the Hulk, he looks 100x better than mvc2 hulk

i’m actually extremely excited for Hulk. Busting ass with heavy characters is always fun you just couldn’t do it on a highly competitive level in MvC2. Hopefully the results will be different this time.

Hulk looks like he’s alot better than MvC 2 Hulk.

A single Ryu fireball can stop gamma charge cold. SO he doesn’t quite have SA on everything.

With Hulk being a giant radioactive beast with super strength and invunerability I would’ve thought it would’ve made sense for his gamma charge to work like Cap’s charging star and be able to beat out projectiles, at least that’s what I would’ve done. Hulk wasn’t that good in the last two games and I want to see him be a bit better. Is gamma charge still a charge move?

why would Gamma charge lose its super armor? I depended on that alot in MvC2 for getting through alot of shit (as well as some delicious hyper cancel mind-games). If he lacks that in 3, gamma charge wont seem nearly as useful :frowning:

Gamma Charge is in fact a command move now (236+A), and Gamma Wave was changed to a charge move.

I don’t understand those numbers and why the hell is gamma wave a charge move now? Is it a lot more powerful so they tried balancing it out by making it a charge?

Number notation can be deciphered by looking at your numpad. In case that doesn’t make sense:

It is better, but I’d much rather Wave be a charge than…Charge.

They also took away the full stun when you hit them with charge, no more quake or crush afterwards since it pushes them away instead of towards. BUT things are still being “worked on”.

I personally hate those damn number notations. If you’re on the right side it’s backwards. Lets leave that notation for blaz and Soul Calibur.

Lol, for any notation its backwards on the right. Thats just something you get used to.

Not really, QCF (Quarter Circle Forward) will refer to the front of your character regardless of what side you’re on.

Yeah but it doesn’t account well for odd motions. Stuff like 1412363 and stuff like that. Numbers work well for anything. Tigerknees, or jump angles, or command normals.

1412363? I’ve never seen that motion in a game before. Can you give an example? Tiger knees are just TK in most forums I’m on. I infinitely prefer f+A,B,C,D or f+HK, HP, MK, MP over the bloody numbers. They’re so counter-intuitive, I always have to drag the number pad up, study it for a second, then half the time you have to flip it over. Abbreviations work for just about every game I can think of.

not seen something like since the mid 90’s it’s not even qcb even
