I always wondered why capcom seems to be uncapable of implementing something as simple as a Song select.
That way i could play in more than 1 or 2 stages on their games.
The intros are made to fit the character dialogue. If you leave the character intros to play then it syncs up perfectly with the music when the announcer says “Round 1, Fight”.
Idk why but the beach theme round 2 is very nostalgic for me. The jingle or whatever it’s called reminds me old capcom games. For example that tune when the Virtual Audio splash screen pops up.
And someone change the title of this thread to the music is fucking brilliant. Capcom have clearly been hoarding all the good shit for the OST of the Cinematic Story. Also that Beach theme? Pure 90s DELICIOUSNESS.
Nah brah. It’s very hit and miss. Apprentice alley round 2 is still the best for me thus far. If it weren’t for the character themes i’d love this soundtrack. Through the years I’ve noticed capcom has a knack for making great original compositions…but god do they fucking SUCK at remixing. Airfield is probably the best remix they’ve pumped out in this game and the vegas stage is by far also the best iteration yet since the original, but it seems as they can’t quite grasp what made the original that great still. It’s lacking it’s ehmm…soul?
